Sometimes you will feel like you can do something and when you try it, it is so much harder than it looks. 😱I remember doing the leg press the other day when I was working on my hamstrings; I’ve only tried it with 3 plates each side the most like awhile ago and when we added 2 more plates a total of 4 plates on each side I was actually able to do it! 👏🏻I shocked myself I didn’t know I was capable of doing it! 💪🏻🤪Lol YES! i thought I would feel a bit sad, inconvenienced, and insecure. but honestly so far I am HAPPY, loving the EASE of scanning (fingers ☝️ are too), and feeling decently confident in rocking this device that represents and brings light to my REALITY with a chronic illness.

The girl on the left was 4 months postpartum, dealing with a lot of emotional baggage, and clearly not taking care of herself. That’s when I decided a change needed to be made. Fast forward a little over 2 years, another baby, and a new woman. I finally made myself a priority. I took back the one body I have for this life and I couldn’t be more grateful. Even with all of the bumps in the road, the occasional binges and weeks without working out, I’ve still got the drive and desire to be the best version of myself that I can be. Fitgirls changed my life and I am so proud to be a member of such a loving, supportive community. I don’t know what you see, I see progress. So I’ve had dms and people asking me how I lost weight. It’s simple really. I made a decision and stuck by it. So 1) I count my calories. 2) I train every day even on my bad days, I make sure I workout. No matter my schedule, I fit in a workout. 3) I do different kinds of workouts every month. I started off with yoga, went to functional training, Muay Thai and now I gym and do some cross fit. 4) I don’t cheat on my meals even a bit. I have cheat meals only on sundays. 5) I carry my snack along during the day. 6) I make sure I rest. Whenever I can I choose to get some sleep. 7) Self control. Most important thing here. I have a routine and I don’t mind sacrificing things only to maintain this lifestyle. I haven’t gone out drinking for a month or more. When I’m out I still make sure I’m eating enough, eating what I want (no junk, I honestly love my veggies) but still consuming the required amount of calories. It’s not easy of course, it’s all hard work and consistency and patience. I have bad days. A lot of them. My body looks different every day and in pictures. But I know I’m making progress that’s what matters and that’s what keeps me going. I hope you can stay motivated and achieve your goals as well.
