Day 9 on the road. Still stoked driving and singing on Britney Spears and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Logged 2k+ miles in the car, smuggled into the hostel late at night for a free couchsurf, survived on Tim's card for soup and sammy, hugged the side of the mountain during a thunderstorm (will come back for ya, Tower of Babel), picked up a trio of hitchhikers to jumpstart their day one of epic 60 days backpacking trip from Montana to Washington (you go @thegrizzlybrothers
), didn't shower for a few (just three), saw maybe five grizzly bears, drove on the famous Going-to-the-Sun road on day one of opening in the fog and rain (what sun??).... Just to name a few funsies. I think I can go on for more shenanigans, but gotta hit the road again, somewhere in Yellowstone -

Arriving in style just in time for Chef Ron’s breakfast.
It was truly a grand weekend 😉
Really wish I had more time in this park - will definitely be back! #findyourpark
Prepping the bags for the next trip. Destination: 🇪🇸 Figured it would be a nice spot to catch some World Cup fever.
Kinda just want to sell everything I have, move to a remote island, and photograph the landscape.
Someone’s loving this beautiful #sanfrancisco
weather! Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Go check out all of @littledog.bigcity

Such a long long time to be gone and a short time to be there.
Live a life of wonder and curiosity. My adventurous spirit started at a young age, thanks to wonderful parents and family that got me outside a lot. Exploring new places, seeking adventures, collecting experiences... these are the things that give me life and charge my soul. Wake up at stupid hours, stay up way too late, go out in the woods at night, put your feet in that ice cold river, go for a hike in a rainstorm, venture to spots others may not... experience the world and soak in all of its goodness... this is what it means to be alive (to me). My passion for photography, coupled with this personal ethos, pushes me to want to capture and share these experiences and places with hopes of inspiring others to do the same. Happy adventuring everyone! Get Lost and Find Yourself!

Oh what a time we are having!
We just got to Zion National Park yesterday, after an amazing drive from Capitol Reef, through Grand Staircase Escalante, and Bryce Canyon. Holy moly, the beauty in this area never ceases to amaze me!
How lucky we are, to live in a world where there are always new sites to see, and new perspectives to be taken.
Be BRAVE with your one and only life.
Did you know that marmots are very social mammals? In the morning, they are known to greet one another by touching noses or rubbing cheeks. Listen for their distinctive whistle, often used to warn others of an approaching threat. If you’re lucky, you might catch one sunbathing on a rock!

Found hidden lake yesterday! Still hidden by the snow ❄️
Mountaintop sunrise viewing is a popular experience at #Haleakala #NationalPark
, but there’s a lot more to do there. The Kīpahulu District of the park is located where the mountain slopes down to the rugged #Maui
coastline. Visitors are treated to views of waterfalls, extensive hiking trails, sweeping ocean vistas and Hawaiian cultural demonstrations. Some of the camping sites are tremendous places to enjoy the #sunset

Shea’s among the boulders in some unintentional camouflage checking out Devils Tower. Don’t let the summer crowds keep you from visiting this sacred formation - it is magical!
The Geoscientists-in-the Parks Internship Program (GIP) provides college students and recent graduates with on-the-ground, natural resource, science-based work experience with the NPS. Cabrillo National Monument is excited to host a GIP Intern this summer – learn more about her here!

WANDERLUST: a strong desire to travel & explore our amazing world 🌍🗺⛰🌅⛺️🌵🌊// Finally organized vacation pictures last night & wanted to document the kids’ first two National Parks trips! We conquered the Great Smokey Mountains over spring break & Congaree on our way home from Florida a couple weeks ago. JP now wants to visit them all so we’ve got some exploring to do! Someday Maddie Jane will be able to walk & stay awake the entire hike, but for now I’ll cherish carrying her around. Here’s to many more! #gbeckhikingadventures #findyourpark #keepitwild

One of the things I do at most locations is shoot in different focal lengths to get different perspectives of a location especially when I get some good light. This is the same location/time of day as the one I uploaded 4 days ago but this is at 16mm vs the 34mm of the other shot. I like them both but they also give you 2 different scenes and where your eyes are drawn. It's also tough this wide on buildings as you get the barrel distortion and while you can do some adjusting it's still something super noticable. ---- 4:42am --- Sony A7R3 -- Sony 16-35/16mm - 6 sec exposure, F/8, ISO 100, Tripod
Tyler, who is a fourth grade student, recently used his America the Beautiful Pass to visit our newest national park - Gateway Arch in St. Louis. He was kind enough to show off his National Park Junkie shirt, too!
The Every Kid in a Park Program was just renewed for the fourth year. The program gives fourth graders (and fourth grade teachers!) an America the Beautiful Pass, which provides free admission to our national parks.
We're happy to see Tyler and his family taking advantage of this program, and we're happy they got to visit #60
At 43 degrees (110 Fahrenheit) in a car with no AC, we quickly found out why this park is named “Death Valley.” Despite the heat this was one of the most incredible places I have ever been. Will certainly be back, next time in spring and maybe with a car that has AC 😅 #findyourpark
