Have you ever have one of those moments 💫 when you look around and just wonder how lucky you are to be right there ❤️, right then, to appreciate everything?⠀
This was one of them!⠀
I was alone in Yangon 🇲🇲 , and after debating with myself for half an hour, I finally decided to walk over to the other side of Kandawgyi Lake 🌊 .⠀
It was a bit dodgy at first because I had to walk on the road with no pavement with tons of construction walker wondering why I was on foot... but I got to this park and everything was worth it.⠀
There was barely anyone there to take in the view and I basically ran up and down taking it all in (and taking photos, too)⠀
Tell me about one of these moments for you.⠀
This one is my favorite waterfall!!! ❤ Why?! Because not only is it stunning, it's the fact that it takes a lot more effort to get to, making it that much more rewarding when you finally arrive! Ya feel?😉

35: British Columbia has the best drinking water in the world! 🤤 When you come, don't waste your money on bottled water (also saving you from using up more plastic!)🚫. And order tap water at restaurants (it's free)🙌. Also, when you visit waterfalls / rivers around here, unless there's fish in it, all of the water is drinkable! It is ice cold because it is all just glacier water from the snow melting off the mountains. Trust me when I say it is the best tasting water you will have in your life and all my friends who have visited me can agree!😍

The 3 camel sisters....Actually, I dont really know if they are sisters. I don’t even know if they are female. 😂 But the one toward the front was giving me a mean side eye. Lol See the clip I made of this. 👉🏾| #beyondeden

Jodhpur, you were incredible! I have never been to a city with people so humble and welcoming! Such warmth radiated from every smile in this beautiful city that I have genuinely fallen in love with this little place tucked in Rajasthan! Honestly I’ve travelled all over the country as a child because most of my relatives are spread out in every state. And since I am a Marwari, a lot of my visits have been to Rajasthan while growing up. Jodhpur is home to a goddess my family believes in and we visit almost every year. So every year, the city is a half-day transit home. However, this was the first time that I really experienced the culture and life of people in Jodhpur and I am coming back for more. That’s for sure. ❤️ Anyway, I am in Jaipur for the next few days. Do we do a meet up? If there are enough of you, we could do one. :) .

Bit of a lighter post compared to my last... but this is my last Africa post taken on our last day on the continent. As far as last days go, this one was pretty damn amazing. I got to hug these elephants, sit with a cheetah, and go on a sunset walking safari. Let’s just say it made leaving Africa even harder. But am hoping to be back... definitely not nearly done with it! 🐘🐘🐘 Have you been to Africa? If so, where was your favourite place and why? 🐆🦓🦒
* NEW BLOG POST * In the spring I traveled to #Japan
for the first time and WOW did I love it! In my opinion, Japan is the perfect place for a solo female traveler. It’s more expensive than most countries in Asia, that’s for sure, but it is so beautiful and clean, and I felt very safe there. See the link in my bio for my Five Reasons Why You Should Visit Japan. ANDIAMO!
This is the face of someone about to have their first sip of champagne, in Champagne France!
Have you ever been sooo comfortable in bed?
Like, you’re snug as a bug in a rug. You’ve never been so warm and relaxed. It’s complete bliss. You’re just about to drift off when... 😳😳😳 you gotta pee.
At first, you can ignore it. After all, you’ve just found that perfect sleeping position. You can’t be bothered to get up and walk alllll theee waaaay to the bathroom.
But after a while, it gets painful. You know you would be so much more relaxed if you would just get up and go, but you don’t want to let go of the comfort you currently have...even if it’s in exchange for something better down the line.
That’s why I stayed in Sydney for 10 weeks.
I arrived in Australia stressed and anxious. On one of my first nights here, I sat alone at Opera Bar and watched the sun set behind the Harbour Bridge. It was lovely. But all I felt was panic as my new reality set in. “Oh my god, Emily. What did you do???” But then I made friends. Such great friends. And I became familiar with the city. I fell in love with it! Yet the more I settled in, the more familiar everything became, the more I could feel myself stalling out.
It would be so much easier to just stay in Sydney. So much more comfortable. Way less scary. And so I did stay. For way longer than I thought I would.
Even though I wanted to explore other places. Even though to stay a second year (which I desperately want to) I needed to head far, far north to work in hospitality for a season.
I held on to the tense, temporary comfort out of fear and stubbornness.
Today marks day one of being brave enough to give that up. First stop: Newcastle.
See you later, Sydney. I know you’ll feel even better when I get back.
Memories from Dubrovnik 💕 This photo is enough to explain why we fell in love with it... This place is a gem! ☆
Once walking through the modest entrance, I was astonished by the magnificence of this small church, where east meets the west artistically.
Ibiza Day 3 ☀️ It looks like I completely forgot to carry on with my Ibiza Instagram diary (oops!). Day 3 was probably my favourite day of the entire trip. We hopped onto a bus to explore Ibiza Old Town and all of our expectations were surpassed!
There's just something so aesthetically pleasing about white buildings, bright gorgeous flowers and old stone fortifications 😍
I got Greek island vibes from Ibiza Old Town (I've never actually been to Greece... clearly I've just been watching too many of @thewanderingquinn
's Instagram stories)! Speaking of which, the lovely Ellie has organised a big blogger picnic today in London, if you're free, come find us! 🎉
In all honesty I’m not a fan of dolphins. If you are though and would like to know more about what happens when they take acid and fall in love with humans, listen to the podcast called ‘Dolphin’ on The Dollop 🐬it’s a wild ride
