Black Pepper Crab
Take a look at a crab and you may think what an odd looking creature it is. How can someone possibly eat this? The outer shell is hard, sometimes grimy and needs a good scrub. It’s claws sharp, it’s a fighter and a lot of work goes into preparing any dish with it. But peel off the outer layer and what you get inside is an amazingly succulent flesh, full of tender goodness, adaptable to any recipes and impossible to stop at having just one. Fiery, zesty, sweet. You surprisingly become an instant crab lover.

My economic self-made edible gardening patio. Mediterranean herbs, varieties of beetroot, Parisian mini carrots etc. I always have particular respect for chefs like Alain Passard and Thomas Keller who have their own vegetable gardens for their restaurants. The Global trade market neutralizes and suppresses the authentic flavours of vegetables with all the pesticides that they use, with all the fast-growing techniques for high yields, the shit they spray on fruits to protect them from spoiling and to stay shiny until they reach market shelves and all the miles that vegetables travel to us...Not only that but countries that allow Genetically Modified farming texchniquea, ship food in European countries that's not supposed to allow GM food but because it's not packaged food then it allows GM to be imported and sold! Personally I try to do my best not to buy genetically modified vegetables or fruits...at least to some extent...I do support GM that helps fight poverty but not GM as an alternative and fast forwarded way to do things. I wish we had more small gardens to buy fresh produce from small producers in Cyprus in order also to support more the local economy of local people. So many big invested companies open up in our countries but the profits travel outside our country so there is no circulation of money, no growth of local economy and boosting of a healthier lifestyle for Cypriot citizens.
Even in Europe the law allows for GM to sneak into European countries. This weekend, @jocelynhanc
made me breakfast. It was the possibly the second time in our entire 7 years of being together that she cooked for me. It was the best day of 2018 so far.
If you know Jocelyn, you know that she cannot cook to save her life. She almost burned the house down one night cooking a frozen pizza while I was gone.
Jocelyn: “Hi, the smoke detector is going off and the oven is smoking. All I did was put a frozen pizza in it.”
Me: “Did you take the cardboard off of the bottom of the pizza?”
We survived breakfast. And it was fucking delicious.
