Knocked my workout out of the park... Litterally.
PS. Just because it's sunny doesn't mean the trail isn't a muddy mess lol. Happy Sunday!!!
Day 55. Side View Sunday!!
A side view from earlier last week for you guys... Also some people got mad that I posted chocolate covered Oreos on my feed... 🤔 If your dieting that hard that you can't even look at something delicious more power to you!! Me on the other hand am going to eat something I enjoy occasionally to keep me on track in the long run. Gotta live my life! 🙌 Also I'm not going to pretend that I'm perfect 24/7 on here....
I am feeling like emotional shit today, so I decided to try and cheer myself up with some pictures. I am liking what I see but I still feel like emotional shit 🤣🤣.
WOOOOSHH.... I went to bed weighing 211.6lbs and woke up 3.2 lbs lighter!
So I spent most of the day peeing, which since I have been drinking water is not out of the ordinary. The thing is I was AWFUL about my water yesterday and barely ever drank ONE full bottle. It's awful I know. I just wasn't thirsty. So that basically made me think something was "happening"!
So anyway, the woosh got me last night! Super happy!
And omg I'm less than 9 lbs away from ONEDERLAND!!
I got to revisit the beautiful Penrose #parkrun
today. The last time I went was July 2017 and even though I was overtaken by a guy pushing a wheelchair and a woman with a limp this parkrun changed my outlook on running. I stopped comparing myself to others and just enjoyed myself. .
Even though the weather wasn’t as good as July (although at least it wasn’t snowing like others had!), I was determined to enjoy this again. I didn’t worry about time but made sure I smiled the whole way round and shouted words of encouragement to as many people as I could. The results came through and I was exactly a minute faster than in July, and despite me sounding like I was about to collapse in my stories, I didn’t actually push myself so this time was even better 🙌🏻
The best moment for me was seeing a woman behind me struggle along with 2 kids who weren’t at all motivated making her job even harder. At the bottom of the only hill on the course, her son who was about 7 was dragging his feet looking fed up. As I ran past I gave him a thumbs up and told him I knew he could do it. Immediately he started running up the hill. I’m really hoping he was motivated by me and not just scared 🤣.
Great hospitality by this parkrun with so many runners encouraging me. I also got chatting to the RD Yvonne (who had a beautiful dog called Jess) and she’d just spoken to a couple who were visiting their son over Easter in Cardiff and doing the parkrun there. Small world!

Taking a trip down memory lane this morning. It's been almost 3 years and wow have things changed. The first picture is me at my heaviest. I had 1 yr old twins that were born almost to the day of our son who had passed away. I was a hot mess.. physically and mentally, but that's not even when I started this journey. It took almost a whole year before I finally decided I COULD do this (the second picture, top). I managed to lose over 80 lbs, basically accidentally following a keto diet at the time (I didn't even know it was a thing)! I had our beautiful 5th child and of course gained a bit back.. I am not posting too many of my pregnancy pictures, but this was my most healthy pregnancy weight wise. I unfortunately gained it all while nursing my son.. go figure!
I am currently about 15 lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight and am wearing my pre-pregnancy clothes!
The process takes times and sometimes there are setbacks..but please don't give up on yourself.. you will get there.. just keep going!
Not a huge loss this week, but I am so grateful for any loss of weight. The number on the scale is something I do know is just that.. a number.. the way my clothes are fitting or not.. the way I feel when I walk up a few flights of stairs, or trying to take a run.. those are the things that do hold a little more importance. I am fitting into jeans I was in right before I got pregnant. ***For those who may not know I lost about 80 lbs before getting pregnant and gained about 30 of it back.. not even during pregnancy.. but I gained it all back while breastfeeding (has happened with every baby). The weight was a huge issue for me and I struggled with trying to find a mental balance with the normal weight gain..*** BUT I digress.. my point is.. that the scale isn't everything. Yes, I do put a lot of emphasis on my weight, but that's what works for me.. that's what motivates me!!
Day 53. HAPPY FRIDAY!!!
We made it!! On my way to pick up so chicken salad from the Mexican food place. 🤤🤤
I received this in the mail today! So, I tend to go kind of crazy when it comes to research and having the best tools to be successful. After doing a bunch of reading I decided that investing in a blood ketone/glucose meter would be a good idea.
"you owe yourself the love that you so freely give other people." While getting ready for the day I can finally see results!!! Stepped on the scale and I'm down 35 lbs from the new year! #2018ismyyear #happierhealthierme
Up and at it this am! Over did the carb count yesterday😬🤷🏼♀️so had to put in some fasted cardio. 🏃♀️Nothing like music🔈 and elliptical to get the heart pumping first thing. 💓
Apart from running to and from clubbercise I’ve not done any running for 2 weeks! Totally lost my running mojo whilst being in awe of everyone training hard for LM 🙌🏻
Reasons to be proud though. It’s my day off and I got up at 6.30am to run. It was so peaceful out and the weather was 👌🏻☀️. Even though I wasn’t trying to push myself Strava was telling me I got some personal records so it just goes to show that if you keep at it (even slightly sporadically!) the results will come. Also, this is probably the closest I’ve ever been to even splits! Bring on being a #parkrun
tourist in Cornwall tomorrow 😍

After quitting work, I needed something to make myself feel better. A stray rivet in the dryer (came from with husband from his work) killed five of my favourite tops, which was ok as I needed a size smaller. So here I am, surprising myself in SIZE 20 tops! Still couldn't fit into a size 24 pair of jeans from Big W, but that's besides the point. My replacement Kmart tops are a 22, and these are a 20. I haven't been able to wear a size 20 in any shape or form in over ten years! Today ended up being a good day after all 💪🤘😄
