Diet face in full effect. This is not a realistic look to have. It's actually very unhealthy. I have always said the last 6 weeks before a show are very hard and miserable on the body. This is something you won't understand unless you have been there.
Trail Running at Night
If you have never gone running at night time, you should try it. It is a peaceful and beautiful experience. If you choose to hit the trails at dusk, here are some night time lighting tips to make it more enjoyable (and so you can, you know, see). Use headlamps and/or flashlights. A headlamp helps to keep your hands free so you can focus your energy on form or reach for a snack or drink while moving. Some runners prefer flashlights because they feel the light from a flashlight in their hand illuminates the trail better. Some opt for both lighting options because they feel that two different beams of light help with depth perception.
No matter which you choose to take, it is a good idea to always have a backup on hand in case one bulb fails or a battery goes dead.
