➡️ What makes this especially great is the conclusion suggesting the dietary guidelines be revisited advocating a low carb diet for prevention of obesity and especially for reduction of cardiovascular risk factors.
➡️ A lot of Uni work I'm doing on diet and disease still advocates the low fat high carb approach.
➡️ More fun debate with my lecturer coming this week.
I listened to your podcast recently regarding your first Masters Class and got some inspiration about your approach to your lecturer. While I want you remain true to the current science and how low carb can help I still want a good grade. It's a slippery slope sometimes.
Being the good Northeast Ohioan that I am, I love a good cabbage roll. What I don't love is the work that goes into making them, so this is my compromise.
Brown 1 lb ground beef in the IP. Drain, if needed. Add 1 head of cabbage, cut into chunks, and 1 can diced tomatoes with the juice. Season with S&P, oregano, smoked paprika and chili powder, all to taste. Cook on manual for 10 minutes. Let natural release, and enjoy.
Sometimes I will add some caulirice, other times I add beef broth to make soup. Sometimes I add both.

Today’s Marcos: kinda-sorta on point; kinda-sorta a hot mess. You win some, you lose some, and other times you are not even on the playing field. At the very least, I showed up. Net carbs are about 23g, as there were a lot of veggies consumed. Granted, goal is to have 20g of total carbs. But it is DAY ONE of Keto Reboot. I am not about loose sleep over an extra 15g of veggies. Protein, however, is a little too low. But that is an easy fix tomorrow. Fat ... well that is on point. [intro post] my name is Brittany, I’m 28, a wife and mama to two kiddos! 👶🏼🧒🏻 I should have started Keto six months ago when my Dr. told me to 😂 I thought it was too “hard” and too “restrictive”. But like anything in life, things are as hard as you make them. And this has been one of the easiest “diets” I’ve done so far. Not to mention the only thing that has helped me lose weight so far after my last baby 👶🏼 [and I run 🏃🏼♀️👟]. My hormones are messed up yo! I hope as I continue this way of eating it can heal my PCOS and insulin resistance. 🌺
