For those of you who may not know, this park was named in memory of a Newport Beach Police Officer, Robert J. Henry, who lost his life from injuries sustained in the line of duty just over 23 years ago. Located off Dover Drive and 16th just past Castaways Park, Bob Henry Park features two baseball diamonds and a well-loved playground. We'd like to think this park serves its namesake well, as countless memories have been made and it is used heavily all throughout the year while playing home to soccer camps, AYSO 97 teams, and the Newport Harbor Baseball Association. Check the map in the back of your Newport Navigator and visit #6

Remember, we’ve also teamed up with @CPRS
to bring you a fun free app that will help you and your kids be active in a different park each week during the month of July. Download the app from your app store, tune in weekly to see your new location and be sure to download your mission BEFORE heading out (so you don’t need GPS and kill your data). The first 5 to share their fun and tag @cityofnewportbeach
each week will receive some fun swag! #parksmakelifebetter #discoverjuly #NBParks #parks #recreation #cprs #parksandrecmonth #newportnavigator #bobhenrypark #nbpd #playground #youthbaseball #youthsoccer #fallenheroes @newportbeachpd
