You are goodness, personified. 💚
With only dim starlight illuminating the night, my view into the canyon was equivalent to staring into a pitch black abyss. One of the most remarkable displays of our world’s geologic history was directly in front of me and beneath my feet, but invisible to my mildly sensitive human eyes. Something about the vastness of what lie before me, in concert with the infinitely deep cosmos that so gently filled the sky above put me at ease and reminded me of my inseparable connection to all of this grandeur. Viewing a night sky unpolluted by lights, to me, is a necessity for finding and understanding your place in this amazing life, and universe altogether. This precious and priceless experience helped me realize the value of being alone, while also revealing to me the importance of sharing such experiences with others. Until the next time when I’m joined by another adventurer, this photo and the hundreds of others that I obtained during my trip will do just fine for sharing my journey. 😊

A recent sunset at Granada Park, using the ND for the soft water. You just can't go wrong at this park! Although, of course, you can miss the best moments... last night, Phoenix saw some of the most beautiful clouds at sunset in a loooong time. And of course, I didn't have my camera with me. At first I was upset, but then I realized that being able witness it in person, and just take it all in, can be even more fulfilling than being busy taking pictures of it.
Sometimes, it's better to live in the moment and enjoy the beauty, rather than be distracted by aperture settings, focal lengths and composition, and not really be in the moment. What do you guys think?
Make life an adventure. 🎈

Again, thank you to those who’ve shared their support, you guys are incredible❤️ Have a beautiful weekend!✨
i’ve binged watched nurse jackie all day because it’s too hot for me to go outside. i can’t be the only one who avoids the sun like this🤷🏻♀️
Last night's storm was very powerful, lightning flashes were at least 3-4 seconds apart. Stayed under the shelter of my front porch to snap this image of some very close and very powerful lightning 😮😨⛈☇
Boulder hopping is all the better when done in a place like this. As it heats back up in Phoenix, I’m dreaming of the cooler canyons up north. Happy Friday everyone!
What tricks or tips do you use to stay hydrated during the Summer? ☀️ We like to change it up with sparkling water or use measured mason jars. You? 🍋 @y.na__ #summervibes #arizonaliving
500th post! It’s crazy to me to think that nearly 13k of you are along for the ride now - I started @basecamplasvegas
as a way to share amazing places around Nevada, Utah and the desert Southwest; as well as to help break the stereotype of gay men in the outdoor industry. It’s since grown into much more than that - you’re all amazing and I love seeing how much love you all have for our world. Here’s to the next 500 adventures and beyond! ✨
