This Weeks Loves 😍 This week has been a transformative and enlightening one for me. With change/growth sometimes comes uncomfortable feelings to work through, old habits and thought patterns to leave behind. So here are the things that I have loved and have found comfort and support in this week.
Listening to Super Soul Sunday’s on YouTube: every single one relating to what I needed to hear. Amazing how the universe does this and shows us and guides us. 👂 @supersoul
My husband: hugely supportive, been a great listener and full of loving and practical support. My cheerleader. 💗🙏 Yogi Tea Relax: a momentary reminder to stop, sip and breathe. @yogitea
Meditation: I meditate daily but this week I was reminded to truly look into what was going on for me emotionally and physically. Asking and delving into those feelings. 2 friends said to me Susi why don’t you meditate on what’s making you uncomfortable. It’s something I usually do but something was stopping me. And I knew the answer why I wasn’t doing it. Fear! Fear of feeling it even more. So yesterday I sat and meditated and felt it all. I asked the questions and received the answers. Pain subsided in my back and I felt the release. So meditation for me this week is a huge one. Blessed to have this my tool kit.
This week I’ve been watching very little but enjoying moments of rest and being with my horse.
I’ve been listening to cheesy 80’s tunes
And eating a gluten free diet and learning about what makes my body feel great.

Sleep is when we heal. Anytime we create downtime in our life - whether it's meditation, daydreaming, catnaps, letting our body relax in nature, bed, a bath... & especially when we sleep each night, we are healing. As soon as I realised this, I started prioritising more time to relax & more uninterrupted sleep. It's not a waste of time, like I'd felt when I was trying to cram a million things into one day, it's a free healing session & an easy way to experience more personal growth as you declutter your energy system. When you are nurturing & listening to your body's needs, you are loving yourself. When you are loving yourself you are healing & growing.⠀

This is always my absolute favorite part of attending the #Beachbody #CoachSummit
convention. Even though I'm not there this year, I was able to Live Stream the closing ceremonies and witnessed the crowning of the two $100,000 #BeachbodyChallenge
Many finalists took the stage and collected checks of up to $25,000 but seeing the #healthtransformations
of the two grand prize winners was once again #inspiring
. They embody grit, #determination
and a positive attitude that carries them through set-backs, #adversity
, triumph and #success
Congrats to the winners and all those who sent in their "before & after" pics with the seemingly identical thoughts of "I'll never win, but it might help me stick to a program."
Big news for our family ...
Later this year we are moving back to New Zealand (Aotearoa) where we are originally from. ❤️🇳🇿 Our USA home is on the market!
It IS exciting to be moving closer to family and old friends but I’ve cried a lot over this decision. Honestly, my heart is breaking thinking of leaving our home and all our American friends. My husband was recruited and it really happened so quickly, completely out of the blue.
And moving is HARD! There are so many layers to it, all the physical aspects of course like purging belongings, preparing the house for sale, selling cars, import requirements for our dog etc.
But the biggest task is the personal, emotional work that needs to be done. Grieving the dreams that won’t be realised, the relationships that are just beginning that you hoped would be longer deeper friendships, letting go of what you thought your life might be, the mother I thought I’d be here. Ugh, it’s exhausting!! Worthwhile to process and not bottle up but it is overwhelming at times.
Please give me some tips and suggestions for getting through this!
Friends! Let's chat for a moment. It's a lot easier to stay upbeat and positive when things are running along smoothly, as planned. But as moms, and working moms, wives, sisters, friends, coworkers... we know that things RARELY go exactly as planned. So does that mean we let those inconsistencies steer life's ship? Not a chance. Plan your days, plan your life, but hold things loosely, because ... life happens. But make those plans, because if you don't, other people's plans will run your life for you. .
