11 weeks tomorrow since shoulder surgery and it's been feeling good so decided to reintroduce snatches into my week. 70kg was the heaviest I went, which is 46kg away from my best, but I need to re-grease the groove and get some confidence in it again. Happy to be able to do these again. This is something I never really understood, until recently. One thing I have learned throughout my life, with all the ups and downs that it comes with. Life really does happen for you, not too you. At the time it may not feel like it, but if you pay attention, there’s something to be learned. You just might end up stronger, smarter, wiser, etc. you get the point lol. One of the biggest (and proudest) challenges I’ve had in my life, was being a U.S. Marine. I know my fellow Marines out there can relate with some of the BULLLLLSSHHHIIIIIT we had to deal with fucking sucked lol. Often times there’s absolutely no fucking reason why we have to go through some of it...at least that I can remember lol...I’m sure there was a reason lol. But through it all, that shit made me mentally tough as fuck. That’s one of the many things I got from the Marines. I’m pretty sure any other Marine, veteran or active duty member, has gotten the same or some other valuable experience as well. Remember, no matter how bad you think the moment is, just know it will pass. Embrace the suck. You never know what good it will lead you to.

Round 2 - day 49/80. . I have been doing this program of @autumncalabrese ’s for over 120 days. I have been living in my house for almost 10 years. Because of the last 120 days, I am for the first time, strong enough to lift myself up into our attic access. 💪🏻 . This program has taught me to believe in myself. I had another fantastic Mohican weekend with some of the greatest humans on the planet! The race was super challenging. I knew it would be, but knowing it and completing it are two totally different things. When I ran the MO Marathon last year, I remember thinking, “That was the hardest course I’ve ever run — I cannot even fathom doing TWO loops out there!” So, when it came time to plan out my race schedule for this year, the most challenging thing I could think of to sign up for (within reason, of course) was the Mohican 50 miler. And, let me just say, it did not disappoint! The course is TOUGH (very technical with over 12,000 total feet of elevation change) and the conditions were BRUTAL (upper 80’s with dangerously high humidity)! I saw lots of runners taking a beating out there. Some were throwing up. Others were taking a breather at aid stations. Some were literally laid out along the dirt trail in the middle of the woods. Despite the fact that it was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, I still had an amazing time. Words can’t describe my gratitude for the support that I received both on and off the course. I keep saying it but it’s just so true — I have the BEST friends in the world!!! Here are some pictures from the race. I wish I had more pictures, particularly of the people that made this weekend so incredible, but I was too busy enjoying their company to get any pictures. Congratulations to everyone who endured MO! No matter which distance or in what capacity — she’s a BEAST and you’re all rock stars in my opinion!!! Alright. The reps are lower this week so increase the weight. Rest time between sets of 4 is 2 mins, 10 is 1 min, 8 is 30 secs and 20 is no rest. This workout took a little more than 1 hour.

I finally passed my NASAA qualification law exam! I didn’t do so well the first time but never gave up and studied for 6 months straight! A big motivation for me was hearing my grandfathers story of how he had to leave his family in Portugal to search for work; first he went to Africa then France and then to the USA. He was working 15 hour days for years just to provide for his family and give them a better life.
