I told myself I wasn't going to buy salmon this week, but it was on sale...Original recipe from @thewoksoflife
RECIPE: Crispy Grilled Salmon with Garlic Scallion Sauce
Scallion (green onion), sliced thinly
Ginger, sliced thinly
1. Rinse salmon and pat gently with paper towel. Season with salt and pepper.
2. Heat up a large skillet with vegetable oil. Grill salmon for 5~7 minutes on each side on medium high heat, skin side down initially. Do not flip until the salmon easily comes off the pan! (To help the fillets cook since they were large, I took a spoon and spooned the hot oil over the salmon while it was cooking.)
3. Mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, salt, and water.
4. Set aside the fillets and put more oil in skillet. Fry the ginger and garlic on high.
5. Add sauce and scallions to skillet. Turn off heat when it begins to simmer (which is very quickly).
6. Pour sauce over salmon and serve on a bed of rice.
7. Enjoy 😊
