Do you have that one friend always go with salad for lunch but hardly loose any fat? Well here’s the myth behind it! Swipe left and to see!
That same sides considers, 🍟, 🍦, 🥤, one friend swears on having 🥗, because 🍔 makes he/her fat, other enjoys the food and logs in their calories counter and enjoys the burger 🍔 mind you a double cheeseburger yum! The end calories difference!
710 calories from the double cheeseburger meal with side of fries and ice team with a Diet Coke, while other has 760 calories which is 50 more than the 🍔 which he/she wanted but refuses to have it due to the myth of salad is the way to go if you want to loose weight. That’s 59 more per meal, potentially 350 more calories per week while he/she thinks they’re making the right choices.
Yes, salad has more nutrition, it appears to be healthier option due the the colorful appearance and fact that it’s veggies you’re having not bread, cheese, and meat. However, to loss fat your body needs to burn more total calories per day on a weekly basis, extra 50 calorie per day means 350 calories per week you taking in, that may be just what you needed to be in a deficit and drop a pound or two that week. •
Now these are just rough comparison, of course there’re other options of salad or burger you can go with that’s less calorie dense, however, at the end of the day, it comes down to be in a caloric deficit, stay consistent and enjoy as much food as your calories allows, while your body weight drops slowly, how slow you may ask? On average 1-2lbs per week, if its 0.5 go 1lbs it still counts, don’t be in a hurry to change anything, you enjoy the process a lot more and stay on it a lot longer, trust me!
