Hey everyone! I hope today has been going well for all of you! I just got back from grabbing a tea from Coffee Bean and grocery shopping a bit ago, and I’ve been making my lunch since! I’d DEFINITELY age lying if I said I wasn’t scared to have this! It’s the guacamole that’s scaring me! 😅 I am NOT a fan of avocados, you guys. I never have been. Not in any form, really! They are just too good for you and have such great healthy fats that I really don’t want to pass them up! So, I made a little variation of them with a HELLA flavorful lunch and am hoping I can eat it! I am having: a loaded micro-bowl made with shrimp (in @traderjoes
chili lime seasoning), lime + cilantro basmati and black beans, sautéed zucchini (in coconut oil spray, cayenne, lime juice, and pepper), a bed of romaine, guacamole (1/2 a medium avocado with garlic, pepper, lime juice, and cilantro), and habanero salsa for the top (Trader Joe’s, too)! 😛💦💃🏻 This DOES look and smell super delicious, but I am scared I won’t like the guacamole! We will see, I guess! 😂 My family and I are off to a BBQ here in a bit, but after I eat, I’m going to stretch out and get ready to go! I hope you guys have ana amazing afternoon! are my faves. I just recently tried NadaMoo & it is completely dairy-free so safe to say the pint i bought the other day is almost gone.

Plus, there are definitely healthy ways to satisfy your sweet tooth like kombucha, fruit and dark chocolate! I like to call kombucha the healthy man’s soda pop 😸

The right side is my fuel for the day. That salad has wild caught salmon, bell peppers, tomatoes, beets & purple cauliflower (topped with balsamic glaze not shown)
But seriously fruit + chocolate > dirt + side of grass LOL .
Tonight’s dinner a la remodel is grilled salmon with onions, mushrooms, and sweet potato on the @biggreenegg.
Not pictured: the carrots I was eating a little before this. I guess it was an orange food kind of evening. 🤨 Peep that color on the salmon, too. That’s a good indication that it’s wild vs farmed. 👌🏼

Health and fitness has obviously become so complicated for some people. It seems as though the general population believe that the only way to achieve fitness goals is to cut carbs from their life and to hit the gym every day of the week. When people look at me for the first time, I’ve been told they think “wow, she must really watch what she eats”.... Just because I have a smaller frame does NOT mean than ya girl don’t eat good. To be honest, I eat more than most guys I know. Don’t make assumptions about others when you don’t know their story. Health is not just physical, it’s mentality as well. If you believe so badly that bread or cheese is going to make you “fat”, ask yourself what other factors might be causing weight gain than just blaming a certain food. Because no specific food or food group will do that unless eaten in excess. Along with that, being “fit” does NOT mean training 7 days a week, FIND A NEW HOBBY. Oh my goodness gracious there is SO MUCH more to living than your physique and spending hours inside of a stanky gym. Extremes take the joy out of life, finding some damn balance with food and movement truly makes life more meaningful. #rant #imdonenow #wordvomit #wantsomebutter
I wish I could scream this from every rooftop! There is this notion out there that places foods into “good” and “bad” categories...as if there is actual moral value placed on a food. It’s OUTRAGEOUS!⠀
🍦First of all, you could eat kale salads for every meal and not be a very nice person. You could also eat chocolate cake at every meal and be the kindest, purest soul. Food does not define you. It does not represent you. It is meant to be a FUEL for our bodies. It’s mean to bring people together. And yes, it is meant to accompany emotions (umm I didn’t celebrate passing my registration exams with water and carrots...🤫)⠀
☕️ Second, although nutrition can provide seriously good benefits to our bodies, it CANNOT change who you are as a person. It cannot bring you confidence. It cannot make you succeed. Nutrition can definitely give us energy and vibrancy, but at the end of the day it is YOU that decides your fate. But wouldn’t it be nice if you could down a green smoothie and it gifts you with the ability to run a 10k??⠀
🍝 Third, when we place moral identities on food items, we are placing judgement on ourselves and others. We are allowing an inanimate object to define us. And when you have something bad? Well you’re worthless. When you have something good? Then you’re better than those who can’t control themselves. This can be a reaaaaaally slippery slope. Let’s stop placing judgement on people’s food choices. We’re better than that.⠀
So today I want you to take a minute and think about two foods that you would normally consider “good” and “bad”. Now think of a reason why you LOVE both of them. For me, I love cabbage because it’s crunchy and full of antioxidants. I love chocolate because it melts in your mouth, it’s great with coffee, and is so so sweet (shout-out sweet toothers!) ⠀

Started off dinner tonight with a delicious mixed salad 🥗 arugula, mixed greens, grilled eggplant, olives, tomatoes, zucchini, & mozzarella cheese 😍 topped with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar 🇮🇹

I’ve failed and struggled so many times at this whole golf game and I’m still learning! But like everything else in my life, I REFUSE to give up in life!

🇬🇧 super green oats this Saturday morning to finish the weekend and start new week 💚💚💚 // 1/2 cup oats w/ soaked w/ 3/4 cup water and matcha, in morning I added 1/2 grated small zucchini & 2 egg whites cook in microwave for 4 minutes, topped w/ dark kiwi, blueberries, chopped walnuts, shredded coconut & drizzle of date syrope .

Ice ice baby 🍨 I heard it’s national ice cream day and this Cookie Monster from @kellyshomemadeicecream
did not come to play. My tastebuds had a freaking field day 👅 (How that rhymed, idk. I got bars though 😂) Got introduced to this little gem by my good friend @bluecorvid
and since it was my first time I sure as hell went on a sampling spree. After taste testing this Cookie Monster took the cake of all the flavors I had the pleasure to indulge in. An awesome little spot for some sweet tooth satisfaction and a nice outside setting to catch some vibes. 🤙🏾
Roasted Garlic-Parmesan Zucchini, Squash, and Tomatoes
3 tbsp Olive Oil
4 Cloves Garlic
1 1/4 tsp Italian Seasoning
1 Cup Shredded Parmesan
Salt and Pepper .
- Cut up the Veg
- Whisk garlic, oil, Italian seasoning
- Let rest 10 min
- Toss Veg with Dressing
- Put in Baking Dish (Even Layer)
- Season with Salt/Pepper
- Sprinkle Parmesan Cheese
- Roast 30 min at 400 Fahrenheit
- Garnish with Parsley
