An Asian man who folded 283kg of narcotic pills and 20kg of crystals in the bales of new clothes was caught red-handed by the Dubai Police’s General Directorate for Drug Control in the operation dubbed “folding.” “The dealer was ambushed by the police team while in a hotel assorting his imported clothes which were received from his brother living outside the United Arab Emirates (UAE),” said the Director General of the General Directorate of Narcotics Control Brigadier General Eid Mohammed Mohammed Thani Harib.
He said the Asian man acted “smartly because it has been rare to try to hide the ‘poison’ the way he had done,” he said. The drug can only be allowed to be used upon special recommendation of a medical doctor. “It is not easy to discover the rare method of concealment he had used,” said Bin Harib, attributing the success of the operation to the “close-and-on-hand follow-up of the Commander of Dubai Police, Maj. Gen. Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, and the Assistant Commander-in-Chief of Criminal Investigation (CID), Khalil Ibrahim al-Mansouri. #dubai #dubaipolice #happening #breakingnews #photography #drugs #cloth #material #arrest #crime #criminal #money #hiding #secret #information #uae #moi #thegulftoday @dubaipolicehq
