It's Thursday but we want Friday! Anyone else have donut Fridays? If not donuts, what is it you treat yourself with on Fridays?
I love using dryer balls as an eco friendly and safe alternative to dryer sheets, which can contain fragrances and chemicals that, when heated in the dryer, are released into the air and may pose a respiratory health risk. Dryer sheets also contain chemicals that coat your clothing to make them feel softer. Because current laws only require that ingredients that are active disinfectants or known to be hazardous be listed on cleaning products, it can be difficult or even impossible to find out what chemicals are used in your dryer sheets and whether or not they’re safe. I opt for 100% organic wool dryer balls with a few drops of pure lavender essential oil from @edensgardenoils
to soften my clothes and make them smell amazing. Lavender also has natural anti-bacterial properties, so bonus for all that dirty laundry! #wooldryerballs #essentialoils #ecofriendly #ditchchemicals #cleanair #reducewaste #homedetoxbox #laundry #lavender
With our hands in the sandy soil and our skin in the dusty harsh wind, we are so grateful for @angelinaskincare.
Angelina does an amazing job at sourcing sustainable ingredients (organic, wildcrafted, fair trade, etc) and we trust what we are putting on our skin. Its absolutely absurd the lack of regulations for skincare products in the US, and we feel fortunate to have a local business who is looking out for the community. The cost of putting parabens, parfums, and chemicals on our skin is far greater than the slightly higher price you pay for a small local business using only oils, herbs, and whole ingredients from nature. We often ask you to think about what is going IN your body, now we invite you to think about what is going ON your body!

I tried this for the first time last night, not only does my skin feel amazing today but the smell of the product is just incredible. No extra scents or perfumes added just to make things smell good, it's just the ingredients themselves.
This is definetly in my top 5 now 🙌😍
Dryer Wool Balls are amaz-balls! 😂🤣 Seriously, tho they are! They last a LONG time! A few drops of YL Essential Oil last me 3-4 dryer loads.
Traditional Dryer sheets are no good. Here are two facts I personally fact checked myself.
1️⃣. Alpha-Terpineol is linked to central Nervous System Disorders. This chemical can cause loss of muscular coordination, central nervous system depression AND headaches. (I personally always get headaches when people are drying with traditional Dryer sheets. )
2️⃣. Dipalmitoylethyl Hydroxyethylmonium Methosulfate according to the EWG website (Environmental Working Group) has this chemical rated a C-D because of Asthma/Respiratory concerns. (The reason it's C-D is because it depends on the concentration/usage.) Do you REALLY want that crap all over your clothing or CHILDREN'S clothing? 🤷♀️🤷♀️ That is just two of the reasons you need to say NO to dryer sheets. I could go on but I won't. 💕💕We have been using wool balls for awhile and love them! I switch between Lavender and Citrus Fresh depending on my mood. You guys they are inexpensive and you can get them online or in stores.💕💕

As I have gotten older I have started noticing that after I eat certain fruits my throat feels slightly itchy and tingly. Normally, I just rinse my fruit with water, so I'm sure all those 'wonderful' preservatives are still on my fruit. So lately I've started making a wash and spray to clean my fruit and vegetables.
DIY Produce Soak
6 cups water
2 cups vinegar
10 drops of Lemon essential oil
Combine all the ingredients and let produce soak for 10 minutes. Then rinse produce, let it dry, and store as desired. Lemon essential oil has great purifying and cleansing properties that I feel help give my fruit soak an extra boost!
DIY Produce Wash Spray
In a 16oz glass spray bottle, combine the following:
1 1/2 cups water
3/4 cup vinegar
1 Tbsp baking soda
10 drops Lemon essential oil
Shake gently, so it doesn't get too foamy, to mix. Spray mixture on your produce, let it sit for a few minutes, rinse with water, let produce dry, and store as desired.
If you're not up for DIY and prefer ready-made, there are some great options out there. Young Living does make a soak and a spray. Thieves Fruit & Veggie Soak and Thieves Fruit & Veggie Spray is made with all natural ingredients and is very convenient to use!
