Block 2 Week 26 Day 100 - Last max out session before my week long vacation and comp. prep for this September #roadtompasam @brusthetics.base . - Squat - 1x1 @363lbs /165 kg 📹, 1x1 @396 /180📹 Bench - 1x1 242/110, 1x1 253/115 - Initially planned one month in advance to increase my gym maxes on that day for SBD, but an aggravated spinal disk in my hip told me otherwise. I instead opted to revisit my current maxes to test potential openers and 2nd attempts, and addressing current psych barriers. - Had doubts and almost didnt follow through with the plan due to the nagging pain in my lower abdominal area, random instances of twitch reflex movements on my legs throughout the week and recovery from the flu, but the hype and atmosphere coming from the @tropikalbarbell crew and @brusthetics family made me go #fullretard . - 110 felt super easy on bench to the point of me complaining how easy it was (too bad didnt record it #picsoritdidnt happen), 115 went through but my retardation made me rush trough the rep with me still making adjustments mid-unracking and even mid-lift. - Sqwats doe..... 165 felt great, 180 even better than before but the depth inconsistency is gonna kill me thrrough the side judges' call... special thanks to @ridethewhitelights @syazulk @mllulama @storiez for the spot and the ever so awesome hype atmosphere. - "For God's sake, trim out the set up. Bit of a mix and match session, plus I couldn’t floor press as some fat dude hogged the only rack at this gym 😒 - OHP for 10s (ish) at 65kg and feet up bench for 5s at 120kg
250 x 2 (96% 1RM) after 240 x 3 I was gunning for 3 but used my better judgement and decided not to... as I need the use of my legs and back this week. Not to worry, 245 was my 1RM only 4-6 weeks ago so I can’t complain! 👉 @ppshq_gym 👈

Tried playing around with my wrap a little and I didn’t exactly like it to be honest. All factors considered though I’m pleased with this session. If you could believe it my 440lb squat before it was even slower than this one. Today was my last heavy day before rest tomorrow and sprint tri Sunday. 🎉 Started this morning with 3 4 min rounds 21 cal row, 21 power cleans (95/80/65), 15 burpee box jump with some great buds. And ended the day with 2 waves deadlifts 5 (105)x 3 (135) x 1 (159) and 3 rounds of a nasty tabata (bike, push-up, 1 arm dB clean jerk, leg kicks, ring row, and 1 arm 25ft DB OH lunge. Considering how much I did the last couple days I’m really happy with this last round of strength progression. Looking forward to testing my 1RM next week. It’s exciting to lift heavy again AND be excited to run/bike/swim my ass off this weekend. I love this life. I’ve set my targets for this weekend and I’ve put the work in to feel confident in hitting my times... Hip thrusts- 3x12-15 60kg, 3x8 100kg.
