made waves at San Diego Comic Con today for a variety of reasons, but the one that I want to focus on here is that they announced that 'Batman: Hush', written by @jephloeb
and illustrated by @jimleeart
, is getting an animated movie! 'Hush' is one of my favourite Batman stories. It's dark and intense, the artwork is absolutely beautiful, and EVERYBODY is in it: Catwoman (one of the best artistic interpretations of the character I've ever seen), Harley, Ivy, the Joker, Ra's al Ghul, and the titular Hush, which, if you don't know anything about the character, I'm not about to spoil you here.
Not much else is known at this time (no directors or cast have been mentioned), but the film is expected in Summer, 2019. Now, can we get a 'Batman: The Long Halloween' flick already? 🦇🦇🦇 (📸: @jimleeart @dccomics

Justice League Unlimited - Issue 6: "Christmas Colors" (there's actually no title for this issue, I just named it that because there are only green and red characters in this issue lol)
This issube opens up with Green Lantern, Green Arrow, Fire & Red Tornado being teleported to Boston to respond to a crisis. There, they see another Green Lantern getting absolutely beaten up by 3 huge red, muscular aliens called the Triptych. The 4 league members try their best to back these aliens off, as John rushed to his fellow Lantern. Oliver, Reddy & Beatriz are a bit over their heads, and are getting their butts handed to them. We learn that this blue, older lantern is a lantern named Zibar, one of the first lanterns to wield a ring in the DCAU. A man who almost everyone in the corps respects and is held in awe by. In the middle of introductions, the Triptych touch hands, creating a concussive blast. John temporarily separates them with his ring, giving them some time to come up with a plan. Zibar, like many old men, is set in his ways and orders them to follow his instruction, calling Arrow, Fire & Tornado John's servants (to which they are understandably offended by). They all think they can handle the threat alone, but John is adamant to respecting his elder ring-carrier, and abiding by his orders (probably a trait he inherited while in the military). Once they get to higher ground, Ollie & John have a conversation, in which Ollie calls John a coward for not standing up to Zibar. His stubbornness, and refusal to see he is too old to protect may cost lives. Their argument is cut short by a member of the Triptych stomping their asses. Each member of the Triptych attacks a leaguer, foiling their plan to use Zibar as bait. When he sees his assistance is needed, he attempt to power up his ring, to which sputters out a green puff... the old timer forgot to charge his ring 😂 Homeboy tries to recite the oath to recharge his battery but he's struggling to remember it! Meanwhile, Fire just got used as a human punching bag. Red Tornado just had his circuits fired. GL got the ultimate 5 star. And Arrow.... well his arrow got snapped just like his jaw is about to be. Justice League Unlimited - Issue 5: "Meet the League's Strongest Hero... Blue Beetle?"
This issue opens up with Blue Beetle on monitor duty, alone in the Watchtower. He's absolutely bored out of his mind, counting 746 buttons on the console, trying his best not to fall asleep. To keep himself busy, he heads to the kitchen, tries on other Leaguer's uniforms, even searches himself up on the DCAU's search engine, Yahoogle (with my favorite result being "The Blue Beetle: An Appreciation-- In the Form of a Medieval Ode--"). He calls up Bruce, who's busy with some run of the mill thugs. He calls Superman, who's dealing with a global threat. He moves on to Black Canary, who appropriately curses him out for waking her up 😂 Wally is next on his hitlist, who keeps Beetle company for the next 3 hours, telling stories upon stories. Wally's stories are interrupted by some banging coming from elsewhere in the tower. Ted hangs up and goes to check it out, where he is met with the waving General outside a window, just chilling in the open of outer space lol. We haven't seen him since The Patriot Act episode, so it's safe to say he's been "finding himself" in the endless space of... well, space. He punches through the window, knocking Ted against the wall. He quickly seals the hole left in the window, and The General gets straight to work pummeling Ted. He states that he will be his training excersize as he waits for the bigger hitters to return to the watchtower. Blue Beetle continues to get his ass beat. Beetle runs to the teleporter right as it turns 2am. Green Lantern teleports in, and is promptly met with a powerhouse punch, knocking him out. Blue Beetle comes to the realization he can't beat Eiling hand-to-hand, so he comes up with a plan. He tries to lure the General into the gym, so he can set up a lethal training program, but Tall, Dark & Hairless is onto him. Beetle runs back over where he left Green Arrow's costume, and take out a very important arrow from his quiver. He realized that he'll have to attack his brain, not brawn. The arrow he's chosen from the quiver induces a sensory overload seizure. (CONT...)
