It’s time to hit the Sprints and another low carb day for my Faster Way ladies! We engage in sprints on our low carb days as a fat loss strategy. We are are aiming to deplete our glycogen stores by intentionally eating low carb and engaging in speed burst training so our bodies are more likely to turn to fat for fuel! Sign me up! . This poor guy has a fist-sized lump in his throat causing him problems with eating and drinking. Hopefully we’ll know more tomorrow with blood test results but he may have to be put under for a biopsy since it’s so deep in his neck. It’s times like this that makes me thankful I got him dog insurance. It might seem silly to some but the peace of mind to move ahead with diagnosis and treatment without stressing over cost is completely worth it.

⚠️LONG POST⚠️So this is where Im at now.🙄Obviously, not where I want to be but so much closer than I was a week ago. Im around 4lbs closer to be exact. I didnt take a pic of my weight from last Monday because I was in denial. I couldn't believe the scale was bck at around 148.4/6 when I've been working out and eating "better". Yes, Ive been working out consistently for weeks and I've noticed small progress in my body, specially the way clothes is fitting so I know I have lost some inches here and there but the scale wasn't moving much. It will go down about 2lbs during the week and over the weekend I will basically eat them lbs back in wine & pizza. But last week I decided to challenge myself, along with some other girls from the team who decided to join me, to stay away from all the junk to be able to get better results and lose some of the extra weight Im carrying. And here it is just one week of following the meal plan, making healthier choices, working on myself mentally, staying active and the results just happens. CONSISTENCY IS KEY!🔑 The number of the scale doesn't define me, and I know it isn't really important. The way I feel its what really counts. I can notice and feel that the bloating is gone. I wake up feeling leaner everyday and my stomach pouch is going down. And most importantly I feel freaking AMAZING and with so much ENERGY! Thats what really matters to me.➡️The point is if you commit to yourself, stay consistent and have discipline you can achieve anything.😉 If I can do it so can you.💚

I became so overwhelmed with emotion thinking of just how far I’ve come today (don’t worry I was sweating so much no one could tell I was crying😆). Training for the Emperor’s Challenge in itself is terrifying for me to even think about. But I’m here giving it my all and today as I was running on an incline of 5 and speed of 6 singing my heart out I realized that not that long ago running on no incline at 6 was excruciating. And at that time I used to constantly compare myself to others. Now, I only compare myself to the person I was a few short years ago, who definitely couldn’t have run like this and she most definitely wouldn’t even have thought of challenging herself in this way. It doesn’t matter what other people think of you, what you chose to do with your time, what vehicle you drive, how much money you have in the bank, who you love, how huge your house is compared to everyone else’s...... When I stopped comparing my life to others I was able to be grateful for the abundance of awesome shit in my life☺️ Comparison truly is the thief of joy....why the fuck do you want to be like everyone else when what you have to offer is so unique and amazing!? Ya girl has been MIA for a day or 2 but time with family is precious and these last few I have been spending with my family who have come over to Melbourne from New Zealand, some being their first time outta the country 🙊 Last night we celebrated my uncle turning 50 years old as well as celebrating his new journey into marriage. This event truly tested me mentally! I had alcohol ready to drink & I had debated for days leading up to yesterday whether I would drink or not considering I haven't had a sip of alcohol since December 31st 2017. I thought to myself you know what? It has been such a great reunion, I'm feeling like I'm home and the people around me are genuinely happy so why not have a drink to celebrate. As the night went on I started debating again and again, I'm my own worst critic and I could hear the devil on my shoulder telling me do it sis, don't worry about it 😂 but then the angel on my other shoulder reminded me why I chose to give up alcohol this year and thar it wasn't a forever thing, just a for now thing. So for the evening, this was my delicious beverage of choice ..... h2o 💧lol. What does exercise look like to you? 🤸🏼‍♀️ • For me, exercise almost always took place at the gym. I remember going everyday to lift weights and do cardio. If I didn’t make it to the gym, I felt lazy and guilty, like I had let myself down. Like the only exercise that can take place is in some building designated for working out. Can anyone else relate? 🤔 • I put exercising into this box for many years. As a result, I became tired of the gym and associated “working out” with negative emotions because it started to feel like more of a chore and less enjoyable🤦🏼‍♀️ But why does exercise have to be this way? • Exercise, or being active, simply means any activity that enhances your physical fitness and overall health/wellness. Oh man..there’s so many other things to do that fit into this category! 🤾🏼‍♀️🧘🏼‍♀️🏄🏼‍♀️ • I haven’t made it to the gym in quite a few days...but do I consider myself inactive? Absolutely not! I love to garden, play with my dog, go on walks with my mom, do yoga at home, paddleboard, hike, go for a bike ride🚴🏼‍♀️ and so many other things that involve moving my body in a way that feels good to me. • I’m NOT saying gyms are bad. Please don’t misinterpret this message! I’m saying physical activity consists of so much more than a single monotonous routine that I, personally, forced myself in to for so many years. • Embrace the things you love to do and ditch everything else. As long as you are moving with a smile on your face, that’s all that really matters ❤️ #thinkaboutit

But I don’t have time.... ... I hear this ALL the time!!! 😝 ... Want to know how I found time to workout and build a business from 🏡?? ... I NEVER watch tv anymore!! 📺 I used to watch it ALL the time as my escape or time to decompress from the stressors of my job, from my two toddlers 👧👶driving me crazy, and because I didn’t have the energy to do anything else!😴 ... Welp! DVR is 💯 percent full now because I don’t need it anymore!👋 ... I don’t have a job I need to escape from. My toddlers don’t drive me quite as bananas because I workout which helps and I’making healthier choices which totally helps my mood! 🤩 ... And I have the energy to be more productive with my time now that I recommitted to my daily superfoods when I realized how much benefit they give me in terms of energy, metabolism boost and reduced cravings for crap!! 🙌👏🙌 ... What do you do that isn’t serving you? What could you give up to give you 20minutes to workout or 20 minutes to meal prep or 20min to read personal development? 🤔 ... As much as i hate seeing video of myself.. here ya go! 🤤 I've started setting goals for myself to hopefully spur some healthy habits. 2 of my goals fitness wise are to use the weight machine at work, and to walk my dog at least 3 days a week. Other goals I've set are to make sure to meal prep on Sundays, pull weeks every other week, call my mom once a week, and complete at least 2 assignments per month (etc). All the things i should be doing anyway, but have not had the motivation. I've set reminders to keep me on track. 😂😂😂 OMG!!! Two hundred and fifty squats on Monday and today I’m still sitting at the kitchen island to eat my food. 😂😫😂 I’m hoping to move back to the kitchen table by tomorrow. Day 3 of #recreatingyou is getting pushed back a day as I continue to recover. This will be my rest day I was going to take on Saturday. Instead, I’m going to walk a leisurely 3 miles and then head to the pool for thirty minutes of water exercises. Summer lunch here.. we all brought this today since it’s a favorite! Garbanzo bean salad with oil and balsamic vinegar, (you guys have seen this before) fruit and veggies.
