🌾One of the horses here is actually blind. Her name is Shebolet (sheh-bo-let), which jeans "wheat" in Hebrew.
🌾She's an extremely gentle and calm lady, so it's easy to work with her. When I first met her, I talked with her a lot so she could learn my voice. I stood very still so that she could sniff me, all the way from my ears to my toes. When walking to her stall, we call out to her so that she knows who is coming and won't get nervous.
🌾Working with a disabled horse has its challenges, but there is nothing better than earning her trust and getting that gentle headbutt that says she likes you. #SweetShebolet
