When I was younger I was mad I didn’t have a talent. I couldn’t dance or sing or play piano or run races or make the cheerleading squad or anything that allowed me to shine per-say. I didn’t even have the looks to do the southern-staple known as beauty pageants. I kinda felt lost in this world not really having a category to fit in to. Something that helped defined me.
It wasn’t until I got older I realized I could walk really slow carrying heavy things for a long time without bitching. And it wasn’t until Instagram came along I realized I could show these places to a wide audience and maybe people would like them. We’re all just hoping people will notice us right? And YOU out there reading this noticed and maybe started following and liking my posts. And brands started to notice and give me things. And my retreats started getting noticed. And it all just kind of snow balled from there. So if my talent in life is nothing more than having two legs that carry me to beautiful places I find on maps so I can share them with others through photos and trips....well then I’ll take it. It’s still not something that wins talent shows or singing contests...but it does make me happy. And hopefully others too.
And what work I don’t finish in this life, I hope she does. Not for me, but for herself.
