I've been so fucking happy and thankful being on the road with my love
Heading south soon
It’s been pretty cold the past couple of nights but Tonky is looking quite cozy!
Today was pretty magical! In downright frozen temperatures, we rode snow mobiles to the steamy waters of Jackson’s Granite Hot Springs, passing this incredible waterfall along the way.
The perfect palette of pastel I ever did see 😌
Displaced a few tons of snow the other day. And the lighting was 👌
Previous caption still stands
Feeling like I was in a fairy tale filled with beautiful waterfalls, creek crossings and wild flowers. Probably was singing Tiptoe Through The Tulips when I took this image.

Can you name that smith rock crux??
I set this back in 2015 to simulate the crux of my project at smith, but I made the first move WAY harder than necessary. In the end I sent the route before I ever sent the simulator.
I finally came back to it this season and put it together in about 15 minutes. I even climbed it twice because my feet cut the first time.
I always have goals, I am always hungry to progress, and I like it that way. But sometimes it’s good to be reminded how far you’ve come 🙏
I think one of the most important aspects of life is not only to love, but to BE love. That includes being an example of love in the face of heartbreak and despair; offering compassion to those who’ve hurt you because they’re hurting. Anything in the world can be remedied with love and the reality of those situations have everything to do with perception. It can be applied to every aspect of our lives, including every - single - societal injustice that exists. There will always be instances where you’re “too much or not enough” for someone. There will always be people who recklessly fool with your mind and heart out of personal selfishness. There will always be people who judge you based on your skin color, sexual orientation, and religious preferences. There will always be people waiting for you to fail because they’re not satisfied and secure in their own lives. And there will always be people who think they have more POWER than you do.
The only constant in this equation is “you;” you have the power to forgive and the permission to give yourself that power, every day — handle all the bullshit with so much love and compassion that it drives people wild. At the end of the day you can rest easy knowing you honored yourself, loved fiercely and literally soared above issues that circulate our lives today.
Be the example for the changes you want to see and kill it with kindness every time.
Reading novels of 18-19th century, even the early 20th I can’t help but to notice how much more time people spent reflecting on features and details of virtually anything. We used to invest time into conventional understanding of things way more than nowadays and it was generally acceptable to be ‘slow’ because it takes time to formulate your point of view on any significant matter.
I can’t speak for everyone, but I can reflect on myself - and I’m always on the run, picking up just enough data to move further.. constantly consuming results without learning the ‘full cycle’. And I have a feeling that it’s not just me.
There is a counter-argument best described by Sherlock Holmes’s theory of the mind. And perhaps indeed, we are growing very specialized in our knowledge, so despite all that universal body of knowledge available to us at a touch of a button we choose not to learn deep. Sadly but this attitude creeps into our daily lives beyond office hours.
Could it be that’s the reason why the art is becoming so plain and design so minimalistic? We don’t want to think deep, because that brings a lot of information that may clutter ‘our attic’. But sometimes it is that old, dusty book that sparks our lives and makes us feel complete... but yes, it takes time to read books.
Yesterday was a fantastic day to dig in your edges and take in some views.
Today, it's a powder day!
