So I wanted to share this awesome software I found a while back. It's called "Shot Designer" from Hollywood Cameraworks. It doesn't just do overheads and lists, but allows you to animate them so you get a real sense of how your shoot will look on the day.
Among a host of other really cool features, it also does your shot lists for you, even down to the lens you want to use. Has a voewfinding feature so you can capture your actual location photos, then can use them in a storyboard that this program also generates for you.
I'm still learning some of the finer points, but I can say from the few scenes I've worked on, I'll probably use some version of this software on all my projects.
Did I mention you can collaborate with team members, export spreadsheets (shot lists) and Jpegs to share?
If your in pre-production I highly recommend taking a look at this program. It might just save you some precious time on set!
