What a way to start the day... We headed across to the beach this morning to watch the sunrise & we were so glad we did, it was breathtaking!
The best things in life really are free & often they're right in front us, we just need to stop for a minute to take it all in💛
Goodbye wardrobe! Hello extending kitchen bench.
Fun fact: before we had our little baby, we lived in a Toyota van for about half a year. We have never felt closer or more attune with ourselves then when we lived more minimal, this is the goal that we what to achieve now that we have our baby girl. We want her to see, feel and be intune with nature rather than what society brings. We know that this adventure will bring more of our happy times and memories that we can make! #caravan #caravanlife #caravanliving #renovation #gypsyfamily #adventureparenting #naturefamily #happy #love
Having the opportunity to be surrounded by Australian history while travelling is such a priviledge! To see and learn how our ancestors lived and worked, how strong and resilient they were, and compare how much our generations have grown over time.
We have learnt so much about the Gold Rush and the historic towns in Central Victoria, how their machinery worked, true stories about mine accidents, and how the families lived.
Then jump forward a century and we have learnt all about the beginning of surfing in Australia in the 1900's to now becoming an Olympic sport in 2020.
It's amazing how differently you see the world when you can understand it's history.
So incredibly proud of our big 2 year old who walked all the way up Tomaree Mountain today. His little legs were a bit tired on the way down though, so he hitched a ride with Dad 🌿
Had an awesome time at the Katherine Outback Experience in of course Katherine, Northern Territory. Great show, great people and learnt so much about life on an outback cattle station. This is Tom Curtain, who by the way is also a two-time Australian Country Music Golden Guitar winner and horseman extraordinaire. after he has put a saddle on a horse he has just been breaking in. The show was awesome. I particularly loved watching Tom break in a horse which he said he had only been working with for a few hours the previous day. It was truly mesmerizing to hear how Tom was able to read what the horse was thinking. He also showed us the horse’s body language as to how it may react to certain actions by the flick or general position of its ears. Tom admits that he does not always get to ride the horse, but we were lucky that this day the horse was co-operative. At all times Tom showed compassion for the horse and made sure it remained calm and relaxed as much as possible. Just wonderful. #katherineoutbackexperience #katherinent #topend #horsebreaking #horsetraining #outback #northernterritory #outbackexperience #gottaloveoz #visitnt #visitaustralia #outbackaustralia #thebiglap #caravanlife #livelovetravel #exploreaustralia #aussiecaravanninglifestyle
Another van, another beautiful round bargain sink!! 😍 This one was meant to be for #missmarylou

Introducing the Rocket 20-23. Like all our Rockets, they’re very light for their size, and remarkably stable to tow. Welsh sheep provide the eco-friendly wool to insulate the walls of our Rocket models, and the inner walls are lined with hygienic and durable satin-silver anodised aluminium. .

📍Madam Tussaud’s Wax Museum - Sydney
While in Sydney I really wanted to see what Madam Tussaud’s wax museum was all about.
Was abit worried the kids wouldn’t enjoy it as much as me but they had so much fun learning about where the people were from and what they were famous for that it ended up turning into a great history lesson!! 😉
There was props to use, dress ups and lots of hands on activities- the kids had a ball!

Contemplating Emily Carr after spending time this week visiting her old house and her gravestone. You can't spend much time in this city without hearing her name. She went against convention generally (and what was expected of a woman in her time specifically) and travelled around with her pet monkey, while living in a tiny caravan. Today, she is recognized as one of Canada's foremost artists and authors. You can find several of her quotes around the city. My favourite: "I am painting on my own vision now, thinking of no one else's approach, trying to express my own reactions." She seemed like my kind of gal.
