The sweet Bokaap. A part of Cape Town with buildings and homes that are over 200 years old. History flows through the cobblestone streets and memories hold every brick in place. The saddest thing, however, is that the mayor of #capetown refused to sight the document. The document that would mark this cultural town as a heritage sight. Now, there are new buildings (that don't fit the theme of the town) popping up, new people moving in changing the old buildings, and complaints about the religious and cultural difference of those who have been there for centuries.
My opinion? Allow new businesses, but don't change the buildings or the artwork.
