last night at @watercoursefoods
! I ordered the Cuban sandwich and it was 💣💣💣 I highly recommend. The smoky seitan was unbelievable and the tofu bacon🤤 I bit it and I was like wow how the heck do they do this?! I love how vegan restaurants serve food like this alongside healthier options too. We are human and don't all want to eat kale salads every day (more power to ya if you do) so I really love that there are restaurants that make it easy for people to eat the junk they crave. This is still #extrahealth
btw, you're making emotional and social gains lol 😎🤙🏼

There’s a lot of talk about being real on Instagram lately so I wanted to share the story behind this photo. This is how it really happened... I wasn’t planning on shooting a photo of a salad. I put the baby down for a nap and wanted to make a quick lunch. I had roasted potatoes, beets and rutabaga leftover from yesterday’s dinner. I took out a bunch of kale, washed it quickly, pressed it in a paper towel to dry and tore it onto a pretty plate I just ordered from H&M home. Next, I piled on the pre-roasted veggies. In a jar, I added 2 scoops of tahini, a dash of balsamic vinegar and a swirl of olive oil. I popped on the lid and gave it a good shake... Then i thought wow this looks pretty I might as well take a pic. So I did. I grabbed the gold salad servers and linen napkin, placed the plate on a table with decent natural light and took a picture with my phone. Then another and another. It took about 5 minutes or so and maybe 15 pics to get the right one... Next, I placed the plate next to my laptop, took one last pic and sat down to eat when, guess what, the baby woke up. I never even got to take a bite!
Some might think I’m totally insane for taking up precious baby-is-napping minutes snapping pictures of food. And maybe it is crazy. But I love it. That’s the truth bomb right there. This is real. It’s my life I’ve chosen. So, yes, you can’t believe everything you see on social media, but if you see something and wish it was yours, don’t tell yourself it’s out of reach. Instead, ask what you can change about your current situation to get it. Know that first off, it’s probably not nearly as glamorous as it seems, and secondly, you can make it yours if you really want to. Sounds simple and there are a million excuses, but ultimately you can make the decision to make it yours. It’s up for grabs if you want it bad enough... I’m still working towards my “Instagram-worthy” existence, but the best part is when you do it for you and for the one person out there who is listening and needs to see or hear your message. Not for likes or shares or popularity, but for that one person I hope to connect with every day. I hope this reached you today. Xoxo
Snowy day, roll through for some warm sushi!
Heading to the Oaxacan kitchen of El Nopal in the Palms neighborhood of Los Angeles, they wanted chiliquelies. I didn't know what I wanted until I found the Tlayuda Vegetariana ($11.95)—an ultra thin, crisp flat bread—spread with cumin rich black bean paste and dressed in a flurry of shredded cabbage. Cuts of red radish, tomato, avocado, grilled cactus, and zucchini radiate around. The dish—dispute it's resemblance to DIY "Mexican Pizza" —is a delicate creation, richly seasoned with a papery bite.
The unassuming cup of coffee Cafe De Olla ($1.75) was the star of the meal. A streaming pour of oaxacan coffee—brewed with caramelized notes of piloncillo (unrefined cane sugar) and the peppery mull of cinnamon sticks—that still makes my heart flutter like a summer camp crush.
I filmed a q&a. Go get ya some on the YouTube channel. 📸lblackburn

I am not really supposed to eat eggs, but I had a sudden urge to do it anyways. 🍴: eight egg baked farmer's omelette in a bowl
Beetroot wrap stuffed to the brim with looooads of goodies for today’s lunch🤪💟
I’ve been enjoying making more interesting/tasty lunches (my stomach is enjoying it too!!) and I actually get excited to eat 🤗 I use @myfitnesspal
to track my calories/macros but I also use it to “meal prep”. I have never been keen on cooking a weeks worth of meals and putting them into the fridge to warm up for lunch/dinner because I find they end up tasting bland and boring and I end up just not wanting to eat them... instead I use this app to prep so I know exactly what I’m eating during the week and I can get it ready the night before!!
Today’s lunch is a beetroot wrap with spinach, red cabbage, cherry tomatoes, radish & 100g mini chicken breast fillets from @musclefooduk
cooked in chilli seasoning😋😋😋
321 cals, 40g carbs, 3g fats, 32g protein
