😱Do you suffer from comparosonitis?😱
You know when you are scrolling through the gram seing all these beautiful girls and every now and then you stop and wonder why you don’t look like that. How does she get that 🍑 and such a small waist when all you have are squares - a square bum and no waist😳
I think we all feel this from time to time, even the #goals
girls. But here is what we need to remember:
1. You don’t know how long and hard they have worked for that body. You can’t compare your chapter 1 to their chapter 10.
2. They have probably spent hours upon hours perfecting their pose in the mirror before taking 93468735481 pictures to get that one great one📸
3. Genetics matter. Maybe she is just blessed in different areas than you. I am sure you have something that she wishes she had too🧜♀️
So my little Sunday reminder for you is this: Stop comparing yourself to anyone else and start comparing to who you were before. Have you improved? Then you are on the right path and all you need to do is stay on track and wait for the results to show even more💪🏼
When you're absolutely feeling yourself after a push workout 💪🏻✊🏻
My rock ❤️
After 20 weeks of dieting and routine, a day in Southport together was well needed, consisting of a pizza buffet, coffee, walking and even more food to be consumed tonight!! Looking forward to getting back to routine Tuesday and building some muscle together ready for next year, but for now we have a weekend to enjoy 😍#bodybuilding #bodybuildingcouple #bulkingseason #gains
How to Build Stubborn Muscle By @musclemonsters
If you’ve been training less than a year, you don’t have lagging muscle-groups, your entire body is lagging. That said, if you’ve been training for a long period of time and are now starting to notice that a certain muscle is just lagging behind, it may be a good time to implement some specialization techniques. Here are 4 things I’d recommend if your goal is to bring up a lagging muscle.
Tip Number 1: Increase Training Frequency
If you’re currently training a muscle-group 1x per week, I’d highly recommend increasing that to 2x per week. Not only is this a great way to maximize training-induced protein synthesis, but it’s an easy way to increase total volume.
Tip Number 2: Prioritize
If your goal is to build bigger biceps, then why are you leaving them for the end of your workout when you’re already taxed? Start prioritizing that muscle-group by putting it first!
Tip Number 3: Progressive Overload
Progressive overload is the main pathway by which we build muscle. And unless we’re gradually increasing the amount of work we do, no matter how hard we train, we’ll never grow. Get back to the basics – if you want to build your chest, you’ve got to bench press more weight. Want to grow your legs? Squat heavier!
Tip Number 4: Eat Enough to Grow
I don’t care how solid your training is… if you’re not providing your body the necessary nutrients for growth, you’ll never build muscle. It’s like trying to build a house without enough bricks – it doesn’t matter how many workers are present if they don’t have the necessary tools for the job.

to me as I get ready to go shopping: “You wear dresses a lot more lately...”
Me: 🤷🏻♀️ “It’s the first time in my life I’ve felt beautiful”
Training for my first show, I thought I’d grow some muscle, lose some fat, and gain the confidence to strut almost naked across a stage in 5” stilettos. I did not anticipate the HUGE positive change I would have in my self image.
For the last five years my self image was The Cheerful Chubb-O™️. I was just barely skating under (and then over...) my max allowable weight for my height per military regs. I made self-deprecating jokes about my weight, but secretly I was embarrassed and ashamed by how big I’d gotten. I could push it off as baby weight but it wasn’t, I’d been bigger before I had #IronSpawn
. It affected how I saw myself. It made me feel ugly and unattractive. That combo made me defensive and snappish about my weight and eating.
Now, I’m a healthy weight, proportionately to my height and I feel great. I feel confident. I feel... beautiful. And I haven’t felt that way in a long time.
I think the “fat girl” self image lurks in here somewhere but I’m working hard to reset my self image and be a more happy, positive person.

It has been very hard for me to notice when my body is changing. Often as I would get smaller, I believed I was actually getting bigger, which ultimately made me strive to lose more weight. Fortunately, I am starting to get a more consistent view of my body, been in the gym, and I believe I look more healthy-- and more importantly, I feel more healthy-- than I ever have. Here is to no longer being blind to change.
She was fierce, she was strong, she wasn't simple.
She was crazy and sometimes she barely slept. She had flaws and that was ok. And when she was down, she got right back up.
She was a beast in her own way, but one idea described her best. She was UNSTOPPABLE and she took anything she wanted with a smile.
