Hairline fracture in Scaphoid, multiple strained ligaments in my wrist. Unable to even hold an empty barbell in front rack. 18.5 with dumbbells it is to keep the wrist in a neutral position. Work on weaknesses and come back stronger, faster and more dangerous in 2019. Just over 3 weeks out from the @bostonmarathon.
Last long training run in the books. I have gotten in the habit of making my last long run a “goal time” run, so I can practice just moving my feet and being in my own head for that long. My goal this year is roughly 3:30, so the plan was to go run for 3:30 and see how far I go.
3:21 seemed close enough for today!! I managed to get 10 miles in as close to goal pace as my tired legs would sustain, which feels like a victory in and of itself.
So happy for a rest day tomorrow and the coming taper. I still have a few more tough workouts to get through, but I feel like the worst of the training is over. It won’t be a walk in the park, but ideally the next two weeks will feel better than the last two weeks!
