Instead of placing your back foot on a bench, try placing on an ankle roller pad instead. This will be way more comfortable for your ankle/foot, allow you to get better depth on the #exercise
and they are often lower than bench height, allowing you to adjust for different levels of capability.

Glute and hamstring session for Alex
Most of us are quad dominant as we use them to do everything from walking up stairs to bending to pick things up. Hence the reason you will generally notice more definition in the front of your legs than the back or your glutes. Here are some awesome exercises you can do (other than heavy hip thrusters or free bar squats) to really get your glutes and hamstrings activated and working hard. .
1. Smith machine squats. To really activate the glutes place your feet as far forward as you can and quite wide. Really sit back into the squat. No need to go too heavy on this one to feel it.
2. Romanian deadlifts. Push your bum back as much as possible to really feel a good stretch in those hamstrings
3. Smith machine glute kickback. Make sure you’re close to the bar and aim to keep your hips as strong and straight as possible.
4. Swiss ball leg curl. Raise your hips as high as you can keeping your legs straight. Drag the ball towards you with your feet, aiming to keep your hips high. Not only works your glutes and hamstrings but also the core! Triple whammy 💪🏼
5. Crab walks. Aim to get into as low a squat as possible and keep your shoulders back and back nice and straight.
6. Banded glute kickback. Similar to the smith machine, keep your hips as straight as possible and squeeze your glutes as you swing your leg back and up .

Have had the loveliest past week eating like a 5 year old - that or I was doing the 10,000 calorie a day challenge lol 😆🤣 as much as I enjoyed it it’s time to be an adult again from this morning on lol as I’ve said before when I go overboard I don’t mind going back to my regime because I always feel full, eat plenty and it includes plenty normal foods and if I want something like a bar of chocolate I will bloody well have it!
