But.... Admit it. We are bound to an oppressive food-health system that our colonized autocracy depends on. We got the word of freedom late
And we still cling to habits and choices that are directly related to our inter generational survival of genocide trauma! Extreme complex trauma. We’ve learned it so well we often can’t see how we are actors in it.
I wrote this book completely aware of how reshaping our choices can lead us in the direction of liberation. #myfoodstampscookbook
is liberation of the people of the planet via our self determination. Link in my bio to get a taste of liberation for $10. As we see with your boy trumpito, poor people and those receiving food stamps are constantly being made to follow rules about what they can and can’t consume. There’s a lot of manipulation by the usda about what is healthy and how to survive when money is tight or non existent. .
In the past week I’ve met with some incredibly powerful organizations and groups working in food justice. I’ve partnered with them to get massive numbers of books to the people they serve. It’s time to reach our people with hope and positivity, change the whole game around health by making us leaders in a global movement starting with reclaiming our health and food systems. And for my African peoples around the diaspora, let’s use today to bring our awareness inward, taking stock of our varied forms of mental slavery, and the cells of our organism that hold the traumatic memories of our foremothers. Use my guide to bring the light and detoxification to your being. I’m overjoyed to announce an event where I’ll be speaking about this with some of the most incredible warriors in the melanated food justice world @byanygreens @sweetpotatosoul @bryantterry
