Day XV of #thejunetarot
Stories that inspired us
Something I rarely talk about on Insta is my stories and characters I've made up. I've always had a very rich imagination, and what truly sparked it for the first time was #elfquest
. Thinking back, me switching between a male and female character before age ten... It makes a lot of sense. It's a beautiful comic series, with amazing character dynamics and cool story/magic system. I still collect the comics to this day, and dream of owning memoribilia from it.
Then there was #bikermicefrommars
. Yeah, my taste has always been all over the place. But even if I only had like... One or two VHS tapes, I loved it. I still love motor bikes to this day.
After that we got the original #beyblade
, which actually re-ignited my love for all mythology and symbolism with its Bit Beasts. Weird, how some things can influence you. Oh, and it got me a sister in @witchwaytogo.
And of course, when talking mythology, we got to talk #Valhalla
. To me, this is Tor. Forever and ever. I highly recommend this comic to anyone who loves rich art and/or Scandinavian mythology.
Finally yes, I was influenced by children stories, too. Mostly the more... Dark ones, like #christianandersen
's. OG Little Mermaid and Snow Queen aaall the way. I also read many folk tales from Sweden, India and China.
Maybe one day I'll have the guts to talk about my stories here. Just not sure how. Or if anyone would care, heh. But time will tell.
