Just a Saturday reminder to always be you! Be true to who you really are. Surround yourself with people who allow you to be your complete self. I personally love being around the people that I can be my normal self with. I have learned that the people who you have to hold yourself back from, aren’t good for your life. Be who you truly are both inside and out, both the little things and the big things. Don’t ever lose yourself in trying to conform to what others want you to be. Life is Far too precious to worry about the silly things in life, to not make time for what we really want to do and far too short to let others change us. ✅ 5 exercise Friday! (On a Saturday) . . These five exercises are help to improve your wrist stability. It is important to be able to hold your wrist comfortably in neutral as well as being able to tolerate prolonged positions with your hand in flexion or extension. . . 1️⃣Isometric wrist extension - using a band around both hands, and maintain the same position for 10-15 seconds 2️⃣Eccentric wrist extension for this I like to use a small weighted medicine ball because it allows for additional activation for gripping strength. 3️⃣ Eccentric wrist flexion is the opposite of the last active with the palm up, for both you want to work lowering phase of the exercise 4️⃣Row with probation and supination, this allows for activation of your scapular retractors and maintaining them isometrically while also actively pronating and supinating the wrist. 5️⃣lastly another isometric hold this one being a bottoms up KB hold at 90/90. Lately I have given into most excuses. I kept telling myself it’s okay and no big deal and the biggest one...I’ll stay on track tomorrow 🤦🏻‍♀️The truth is I feel so much better when I eat healthy and workout so why do I always fall off and then have to start again😩 Well, that’s a part of life. We get busy. We lose momentum. We make excuses. We find other priorities. But I love that I have the tools available to just start whenever I want and stay on track. These words “you can do it” play over and over in my head. And today they won 👏🏼 I sent the boys to play (fight) in their room while I worked out across the hall. I didn’t have to drive or worry about a babysitter. I took 30 mins for myself and strengthened my body and mind. And now I have to keep it up in the kitchen 🥚🥦🥑🌽🍍🥝🥗 So thankful for the fuel to help my muscles recover and strengthen. Today I won the battle but that doesn’t mean the war is over. Well I am a little out of my comfort zone here but I just had to share! I shared this in my story yesterday but that only lasts 24 hours! 😳. I think I enjoy sharing it because I never believed I could be the one seeing results like this! But I am and I couldn’t be more excited or proud of how far I have come! There is less than a 3 month difference in these two photos! I am honestly in shock still as I look at these two pictures! All I can say is... Wow... I am glad I decided to say yes for myself! I sit and reflect on these past 3 months, I decided to say yes because I k ew I was going to the beach! Well here we are, I’m sitting in the car riding along on the way to the salt, sand, and water! I feel more confident and not the put on a show confidence I have had in the past! I honestly feel amazing inside and out! Words can’t even explain it! I have learned a few things about myself through this process... I can love myself, I can finish something I start, and saying no is not an option when it comes to wellness. I have learned that I can push myself and not give up! I have learned it is worth sacrificing some sleep time. I have one more week until I complete 80dayobesssion, and yes I will wake up and grind even at the beach! Okay guys! So here are the real progress pics that I've been hiding from you guys for a couple months now. My schedule has been very busy lately so posting has been difficult for me. With balancing work, training, eating, sleeping and life in general I've been working diligently each day at progressing towards my goals. I decided it was time to give you guys a sneak peak at where im at along my journey thus far. Morning naked weight has been bouncing back and forth from 220lbs to 230lbs. This offseason the focus is to pack in as many calories as possible consistently and to watch overtime what happens to my physique as I keep the intense training up. I've been soaking up as much knowledge as possible from experienced athletes that have become very close with me and can not thank them enough for them willingly sharing their tips and ideas.
