It sounds like the most crazy thing to do but if you can make friends with fear you'll be able to overcome anything. Fear comes up as a way of protecting us when we feel scared of real or perceived threats. If you can apply a mindful approach to it when it arises by breathing through it & just exploring what it might be trying to tell you you'll really start to grow. I lived in fear for most of my life, I was scared of judgement, scared of criticism even scared of my own reflection. The day I made friends with fear changed my life. Start practicing ‘4-7-8’ method with these steps:⠀
1. Exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound.⠀
2. Close your mouth and inhale quietly through your nose to a mental count of four.⠀
3. Hold your breath for a count of seven.⠀
4. Exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound to a count of eight.⠀
5. This is one breath. Now inhale again and repeat the cycle three more times for a total of four breaths⠀

Commuting to work has got to be one of life’s most stressful and hated activities! Unfortunately if you are a local Melbournian things are about to get a lot worse from tomorrow with the closure of a number of train lines 😖
Here’s a few things you can do to help reduce stress on your daily drive 🧘♀️
1. Learn something new by listening to a podcast- there’s literally podcasts on every topic known to man kind so you’ll be sure to find something you like
2. Create a fun sing- a-long playlist- Research indicates listening to happy music has a positive impact on your mood so get some RnB Fridays into your everyday
3. Focus on good posture, keep your shoulders back and down to take tension off your neck and upper body
4. Enjoy some uninterrupted time out. Driving is one of the only times during the day for a lot of us that we are actually on our own. It can be a great time to reflect on your day or just take a few deep breathes and enjoy some quiet time
5. And hands down the most important one, don’t drink too much water before or during your trip! It’s never a fun experience!

Knowing when to cut things off
There is not someone watching us at all times, but you never know who might be. It’s in our human instinct to do the right thing, for most people at least. The rest of those who don’t always do so, may be dealing with some other issue.
This photo was taken at dead horse bay in Brooklyn, NY. Trash, broken glass, and other junk litter the beach. What could be one of the most beautiful beaches on the east coast is made literally unusable by all of the stuff that will never be used again. When are we going to realize this is happening on a much bigger scale. If we keep treating earth the way we’ve treated this beach for years, our only home may look similar to this and be made unusable, or unlivable.
