crisp air, lush greenery, and no sounds except for the sounds of nature - one of my favourite kinds of places to be
Finally got to visit The Met! Beautiful.
As some of you know, I grew up in Saint-Petersburg, a city that’s a home to the world’s 2nd largest museum - the Hermitage. During school years we had to go there every week with our class to study the ART (over 3 million pieces, over 1500 rooms...)...Naturally, we, the teenage kids, absolutely “loved” it...walking around for hours listening to the guide...😬 But it’s interesting how despite all our attempts to sneak out and try to avoid the “fun”, this thing called Art appreciation still somehow rubbed into us. I don’t remember half of what we learned, but I still know how to tell what’s good and what’s not. I still remember how to look into the artists soul and have a conversation through his art. Whether its the painting, the sculpture, the book, the music...it’s beautiful. It’s good for the soul.
