JULY 2017 ➡️ JULY 2018
When I started going to the gym around the time of the first photo, I cried the first time I went. Why? I was used to just running and that was all. It was my comfort zone. @roachhey
encouraged me to follow along in his weights routine and I was 100% against that because I didn’t know what I was doing & I knew I wasn’t going to be the best/strongest in the room. I felt so embarrassed and weak. However, I was comfortable with just running on the treadmill because I could outrun anyone in there. I sat at the desk of the athletic director and just watched Wyatt and felt bad for myself.
I went home that weekend and literally googled “How to work out”, “best exercises”, “how to gain muscle”, and all of those silly questions we won’t admit we’ve googled before. 😉 I vividly remember spending HOURS on bodybuilding.com learning about exercises, nutrition, and scrolling through their shop and wondering what creatine was. Thank you @bodybuildingcom
for building my foundation of everything I know regarding this whole fitness thing!
Over time, I learned to love the gym and eating well until I formed a habit. Now it’s a lifestyle and I absolutely love it. I’m completely a different person now and the only reason I do as much cardio as I do is because of @nicktongstrong.
(Thanks, coach!) Stair master is my bff.
Moral of the story: I don’t have to be better and stronger than everyone else, I just need to be better and stronger than the person that I was yesterday, last week, and last year. 💙 (minor exception: when I compete 🙈) #bodybuildingcom #bbcomtransformation
