Practice your form and use light weights in order to improve your performance in the workout. Another awesome test day today. I haven’t trained my deadlift properly in about 2 months due to high frequency squatting but it’s nice to see some of that strength has carried over to my deadlift. Today I hit my first 200kg deadlift, which went up relatively fast, and then I went on a limb and put 207.5 on the bar. By far the hardest, slowest deadlift I’ve done but it was so worth it. I was very close to blacking our afterwards, and tbh I don’t even remember locking the bar out (but I was glad to see that I did after). There are some definite form issues, slight back rounding, which is fairly normal when testing, some shoulder rounding, which I’ve been addressing for a few weeks, and very poor head positioning, which is 100% down to mental cues and breaking bad habits. My next training cycle will be focused on breaking these bad habits, explosive power, as well as keeping up the strength gains. Big thanks to @jayden_rainbow for the filming 😉
Single arm dumbell Rows💪. If you ask me.....it's the best to workout your back👌. Mixed with pulldowns...makes the greatest back workout ever💥. I do 3 variations of rows....and do it in high volume 🙌. I prefer to not count sets and reps....just work the damn muscle till it feels exhausted 💪💥💥. And yes don't need to go crazy with the weight 🚫. Be smart and maintain your rythm and form. My favorite muscle day has always been back day💪. In the beggenneing I could hardly see any progress regarding my back😶, but after a while passed, I finally could see gains💪. I include equal number of rows and lat pulldowns in my workout regiment to maintain good proportion and symmetry💯. Rowing is one of my favorite exercises for my back workout sessions. It's perfect to add the extra thickness you want 💯 I usually prefer to go high volume on rows and so should you. Dnt worry about your perfect form when the weights get hard and heavy.
