Our time here in Korea is coming to an end as our team is about to split ways with three of us taking off for Japow the day after tomorrow. We've had some crazy times here doing ministry in and around the Olympic Games! I can't wait to share more as I've been slackin' a bit during these past few weeks. This was a shot we took when a little man named Kim found us lost in a street market in Wonju and took us to his number 1 restaurant. Turns out it wasn't his restaurant and turns out the lady cooking here outside thought we were just here to take photos and not eat.. It also turns out that because I'm Asian everyone in this country just speaks rapid Korean to me making me our Korean Translator. Little do they know I speak about 1.5 words of Korean! But we got bowls of noodles filled with dumplings and with a healthy dose of Kim Chi we were just wrecked :)
Differences in temperature as the heavy rain clouds flew in from above the falls, quickly cooling the valley from the only sunshine it saw this day.

Anxiety, depression. These and other ailments are all deep rooted in fear of the unknown and seem to be the most one of the most common challenges amongst humam beings that ive seen. Just yesterday i saw someone reach out to everyone on facebook in a post saying they struggle with these things to the detriment of being able to enjoy their accomplishments. And this particular person os absolutely at the top of his game for such a young man. For anyone at all for that matter. And so i began to think about this. He listed what he believed were some of the contributors to his condition. But for myself i have come up with a more holistic view on how humans can deal with these things, how ive tended to deal with it myself as i grow. This is my understanding. Human beings are the only living organism on earth with the ability to question their own existance here on earth as well as beyond a lifetime. Animals are born, nourish themselves through out a lifetime and then pass on. Their life purpose is easily defined as to nourish. And there is no question of life after death. Their is a roof over their lifetime. Humans dont have this roof. Our existance is questionably infinite as we have the ability to analyze and question our existance itself. "Why do we exist and who put us here" is the very question that leaves the roof over our life span wide open to question "where do we go from here" . Now in terms of creating anxiety, depression and other challenges all the way to suicide. Ive been helping people deal with a range of these issues and im very quickly learning observing the societal pressures around growth that trigger it all. But to truly live a life free of these issues i have found having an understanding of what i believe is happening beyond the present life. All tied to concepts of spirituality and being inherently spiritual beings seems to further lessen the triggers for anxiety and depression in me.
honest conversations with myself.
