There's nothing wrong with admitting that you need to rest. It's so hard for me to take rest days because I still have that mentality that if I stop I will lose everything I've worked so very hard for! But in all reality it won't make much of a difference as long as I keep my nutrition in check. This past weekend I further hurt my rotator cuff in my right shoulder, the pain is real and I've made the decision to take it easy with the weights for the next week. Hard as it is for me, it needs to happen. So I'll be doing dancing, treadmill liss, and other forms of exercise to get my heartrate up. If you have any info to help with my situation please help a girl out. WEDNESDAY=Rest day=HOLLA! . . Goodness, I went to bed super excited that today was a rest day! My chest muscles were so sore and my legs were quickly following! . . And that’s the point I knew I underestimated these short little 20 minute workouts. I mean can you REALLY get results in just 20 minutes or 30 minutes a day, working out only 4 days....well if this is any indication of this program, I’m pretty sure YOU CAN!! . . But for all those still skeptical I will post some transformations in my stories, so be sure and check them out!! . . And, can I also say I will not make the mistake again of skipping my Recover on days I lift heavy...no matter how short the workout is. Because most of this soreness, could have been avoided with a quick yummy shake that tastes like a Wendy’s Frosty!! . . Spots in my next Bootcamp are filling up, so message me if you want in!
Your gut loves ❤️ exercise.. . . . Not even joking, that's a true statement right there 👆🏼 • Have you ever noticed after a workout that parts of your body become inflamed, especially in your core then it goes away?! • This is your body becoming a natural anti inflammatory. It inflames for a short period of time to heal and then releases to then stabilize parts of your body such as your gut.. • Exercise helps to relieve 💁🏻your intestines by lowering the inflammation so your digestion will process smoothly.. • On the days I don't workout, I feel it without a doubt in my core, the lack of movement traveling through my gut. If you go through this as well then you know it's not a good 🙅🏻 feeling. Especially when you have #sibo . • Yoga is one ☝🏼particular type of exercise that is extremely helpful as it is a mind-body 💆🏻style of practice. And our bodies are one connected unit that should work in unison. The mind can assist in healing the gut and vice versa.. • Exercise is much more beneficial than looking fantastic in a bathing suit, like many people think.. . . Today is an off day for running so I did some legs! A mix of LIIFT4 and 21 day fix extreme!! Happy wednesday!!
Here is a quick view of our “No Gym Required” circuit that Courtney and I hit at home. It goes like this: You will break down the workout into 10 exercises. Each exercise has a time limit assigned to it. The time will pyramid down from :60 to :10 and then make its way back up in the same fashion. :60 :50 :40 :30 :20 :10 :20 :30 :40 :50 Each time has its own exercise and there is little to no rest between. We performed 5 rounds and made sure to take very minimal rest during the transitions. This is one of the many “at home” circuits we program for our clients who are not interested in going to the gym and prefer the comfort of their home. SINGLE SIDE PLANK ROW: This type of row combo is killer. Not only do you work the targeted muscles through the upper back & bicep, but your core will be on fire. Try to keep your hips flat throughout the set, keeping your weight from shifting with each row. Engage your legs to stabilize your positioning, & complete one full set on one side before moving on to the next. Aim to do 3-5 sets of 12-15 reps per side.
It's amazing the difference a day can make 🙏 especially a day when you listen to your body and honor what it needs. . . Yesterday was a struggle but I did what my body needed and I put myself before my many other commitments. If y’all could please say a prayer for my momma and her recovery and that the surgery is a success, I would greatly appreciate it!

Laced up and took it to the pavement this morning for my first run in...over a year...and that’s when I was pregnant😳 . I am so loving this 4 days a week program where the other days are considered “flex/rest/live-your-life days” - it allows for such freedom to do things like running, hiking, bike rides, family adventures and not feel the guilt of missing a workout on program. . I never thought I could get the body I wanted by working out at home! I thought I’d have to spend hours at the gym doing cardio or squatting with the bar and have 45s on each side or learning to bench press half my body weight. Instead I learned that it just takes a little conscious eating and 30 minute workouts 4-5 times a week. If you’re looking to get into a routine for a happier, healthier you then I have a program that you’re not going to want to miss! The workout is the easier choice for me. It helps me wake up, I feel good afterward, I actually enjoy it in a way that my seem crazy to others. # What’s hard for me is not eating the peanut M&Ms that come in that big tub from Costco. It’s also hard for me only eat 2 tacos, when what I really want is 5. I like eating, I’m a social eater, I’m also a recovering late night snacker. # That’s why I do things like #3dayrefresh and the timed nutrition from #80dayobsession . Those programs help to exercise my mental strength. I learn that I am in control of what goes in my mouth. I can eat mindfully rather than mindlessly. And it’s apparent how effective they are by all the challenge participants killing it over on @ado_challenge 🙌🏻 . What I love seeing is how many moms, working/busy people, traveling people, etc are able to get these workouts in with 🚫 excuses since these bands are portable and you can literally use them ANYWHERE! I also LOVE seeing how so many people are saying these workouts are humbling them because they didn’t think resistance bands could kick their ass like weight training 😝 . Don’t make change too complicated, just begin. 💯 . What I used to say to myself: -I will start working out after vacation. -I will wait until Monday to start my new plan. -I can’t enjoy my summer if I am following a nutrition plan. -I will miss out on memories because I am on a diet. -I love food and I can’t commit. -I work full time and have kids and no free time to myself. -I travel for work and it’s hard to be healthy. . The excuses are endless- I also used to be the one dishing them out too ✅ But one day you simply say enough is enough, if I want this bad enough I will find a way. . I don’t always love getting up at 4 am but I sure do like the feeling of being done with my workout. I don’t always want veggies but I choose those first and then have a bite of the dessert! I love food but I experiment with new recipes to be healthy and flavorful. . It’s a choice my friends! It doesn’t have to overwhelm you. Just simply start. Start today and if it’s not perfect- oh well, try again tomorrow and the next day and the next day. . One bad meal doesn’t mean a bad day or week. Dust yourself off and back on the wagon we go!! . This is a journey and not a destination. Every season of life presents new challenges.
