Today I want to proceed talking about my freelance work and life. #asya_shares
And the topic is planning.
I am a freelancer and if you are too than you need to plan your days and projects.
Truth is that being a successful creative doesn’t only stands on planning method. I myself sucks at saying “no” to projects when my month or 2 are already booked and this is the reasons why I work 6 or 7 days a week. But this year I am working on this problem too. Because health is much mire important!
My best advice will be to plan ahead the week, the weekends and every day.
✓ I always sit on Sunday evening and list all the things I need to do next week. ✓ If my work schedule is not very intense I write down the possible holiday or evening out. ✓ On the top of the week spread I write a quote that motivates me.
✓Everyday before the bed I write down all the things I can do tommorow with exact amount of time needed.
We all have about 16-18 hours a day. Sometimes I dream to have 60 hours day but I live on this planet not another one. ⠀
✓ From these hours you need to substract the hours for sports, daily routines, meal time and all stuff you do every single day. After this you will know the amount of time you can spend on work. Normally it is 8-10 hours. Write down what is a priority for the day or priorities (maximum 3).
✓When the work day comes set a timer on 45 and 15 minutes. Spend 45 minutes on important stuff and 15 minutes on everything that is urgent but not important.
This works for me.
✓And I always write down how much time I spend drawing and colouring. This also helps for knowing your work’s cost.
