All throughout the Bible, we see alters. Noah built an altar. Abraham built an altar. Moses built an alter. Joshua built an altar.
.
An alter is a place of remembrance. It’s a place that reminds you of where you’ve been and what the Lord has done. We easily forget the Red Sea parting....the salvation from a flood....the exodus from bondage....we forget so much. .
Alters call you to take a moment and worship, whether it be through sacrifice so that you can see God provide, or through awed thanksgiving after experiencing His grace. .
I’ve had this little altar built for over two years. I’ve even toted it around with me as I’ve traveled. It has and will continue to serve as a great memorial to my great God. .

I believe that every single person in America especially has multiple personality or DID..it is just a matter of what degree. If there is a dark side or a "negative" side to someone's personality...their is always a "lighter" personality. To form completeness.. we must have a yin and yang.So if someone is truely interested in integrating.. or getting in touch with their fragmented self...they must get in touch with their shadow side....not just the "good" sides of themselves.

#dissociativeidentitydisorder #DID Alters or the other personalities, one of them are always portrayed in the big pictures as evil, or an evil incarnate. 📋💊💉
Let me end the misconception that those alters does not have evil powers and they are not an evil incarnate of some sort who is out to get to you.
📋💉💊
Instead those alters do everything to protect the original person on the onset of a threatening or traumatic event to prevent the mind from breaking especially when the person is still young. They are not emotionally equipped yet to handle some stresses in life. 📋
💉
That is why it is called Dissociative Identity Disorder. The person dissociates himself as a defense mechanism from the traumatic event. He does it to assimilate himself from his conscious self. By dissociating himself from the traumatic event, the mind is creating a mental split. It is also why some people refer to it as
#splitpersonality 📋💉💊
Once the psych realizes the person is ready to face the bad events in the past, the memories, nightmares, and flashbacks will resurface for the person to handle it with a professional expert's help, guidance, and support from family and friends. 📋💉💊
DID is been portrayed in the big screen several times. One of the recent work is Split. When I saw the trailer, I wasn't impress and didn't like it but just like I always do I gave it a benefit of the doubt. I saw it, and let me tell you that DID is nothing like that. While I know that the actor is a great and I'm sure he worked hard for the role, but the condition is just not like that in reality.
📋💉💊
Later I'll be sharing some testimonies on how it is really like to have the condition.

Meet my alters! There is in fact three but I’m not sure what does the third look like, so no picture of it now.
The first one is a five year old who thinks she is a cat. She infact meows and does some funny stuff and she is really shy. Her talking is really clumsy, like kids talk. She talks in finnish a lot. She likes attention and affection. She has been present the most recently. I think she came out only this year.
The other is a guy, I would say my age. He is really angry all the time and I used to call him Trigger. The character from Snow White is called Grumpy. He doesn’t like most foods, especially veggies and he doesn’t like some of my clothes either. He dresses in black himself. He likes to spend time alone and he curses a lot. He is really stressed, negative and abusive. He has been around the longest.

I went climbing this morning.
Children don’t wait to be introduced to rock climbing, they don’t ask to find an appropriate rock wall in a park or a gym. They climb because there’s something up there they want to touch or see, or because the floor is so boring it must be imagined as lava, or because their developing brains demand opportunities to practice problem solving, or simply because they want to climb, and that couch will do.
This morning I wanted to climb. So I walked until I found something that would do. It was a three foot retaining wall beside the sidewalk. Climbing onto it was far too easy, so I climbed along it, feet mere inches from the ground and body folded to enable arms above the head. I climbed this way for nearly thirty minutes.
Beside me, the sun was rising over the mountains. I know this because I’ve seen it before, but today the spectical was invisble behind layers of clouds. Above me, birds were singing their morning greetings. I heard just half a chirp, every five minutes, in the rare spaces between the roar of the highway behind me.
There’s a thing when you climb, that all your thoughts disappear and your attention centers itself and you sense nothing but the rocks and your body and the next grip you need hold of. It’s why I love climbing.
So close to the ground, with such easy grips, with no sense of danger and minimal sense of challenge, I hit that point of pure focus for only moments.
I did reach a point of exhaustion, climbed a few minutes past it, and finish with a perfect peace. Then I built a tiny alter out of pebbles, to acknowledge nature for providing me with this experience, and walked home.
Washed my hands with that gritty orange cleaner my brother and I often used after working in his woodshop, and like I always did back then, I forgot to clean under my finger nails. And now my spiritual excursion is completed, with this connection to a profoundly mundane memory.
Good morning.
I hope you experience beautiful imperfections and profound mundanes and perfect peace today.
