I have never documented my workout plan to get my fitness to a level of running half marathons... so I have never realized how much I have DREADED THE THOUGHT of a workout, yet how much I actually LOVE THE WORKOUT! It’s an interesting psych pattern... maybe after writing and reading this psych pattern of mine it will eventually help me fall in love with the ‘thought of a workout’.... let’s face it, it’s the moment of putting our joggers on or not putting them on that is the pin point moment of failing/missing a workout! It’s not often you decide not to do a workout when you are wearing your workout cloths and your joggers. When people/friends/family/work friends saw me running half marathons, they just thought I was a fitness freak and I loved workouts.... part of it was true - I loved the race day, but I had to show grit/mental toughness/mental discipline EVERY time I turned up for the workouts/training... I now remember that side never came easy for me... but I was determined to get through the finish line and I knew I couldn’t do it without the training... I’m still a long way from the finish line but I’m closer than yesterday ...... #adayatatime #patience #mentaltoughness #nevergiveup #grit
