Here’s what most people get wrong about motivation.
They believe motivation leads to action. This is the opposite of truth. Action creates motivation. „Good things only happen when you are in motion.”⚡️
I’ve teamed up with @petiteelise
to share some advice with you on how to get out of a rut...head over to my girl‘s beautiful account to get her motivational take on setting new goals after finishing a huge project or feeling a bit lost in general! Also swipe right to see her pic of this collab post 👉🏼✨
After submitting my thesis, I felt like all I wanted to do was laying in bed all day and literally DOING NOTHING.
I felt so unmotivated and powerless. But then I reminded myself of my longterm goals and the things I want to achieve before starting all my travels, so I sat down and wrote a plan.
This was the first step of me taking action towards my goals again - getting very clear on my vision and writing everything down.
Because here's the thing: Your behavior shapes your identity, beliefs, and motivation. So start acting, and everything else will fall into place naturally as you go along.
All you need to do is starting somewhere with what you got. The second step is to keep the momentum going. Stick to your good routines - no matter what. This is a tough one as we tend to slack on those so easily when we are tired/ too lazy or just feel like 'It's not that much of a biggie to skip some hours of sleep or eat take aways 5x a week.' That’s totally fine every now and then, however it adds up and leaves you feeling sluggish after a while. Prep your healthy meals, move daily, get enough sleep, do at least one lil thing today that gets you closer to your dream life. I am currently trying not to be too hard on myself. So it's all about those baby steps back into my new productive routine.
Let's do this, no matter what your goal might be. Who's in?🔥
