MSF doctor Tariqul Pavel is medical activity manager at MSF’s Kutupalong health facility, which has been operating since 2009 and is the largest MSF health facility in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh
___ "Working here at the Kutupalong clinic is full of challenges. Every day we see lots patients with severe conditions, as well as acute presentations of a number of chronic illnesses, which are the consequence of the population having been deprived of basic healthcare for a long time. Personally, I feel very privileged to be able to lead a team of motivated doctors in Kutupalong clinic. At the end of the day - often very late at night - I feel pretty exhausted, but at the same time it's a day well spent.”

Every year, Bangladesh experiences a cyclone season starting in March and then a monsoon season starting in May. This extreme weather will bring floods and landslides which threaten to devastate Rohingya refugee camps and leave thousands of people without access to basic services.
Since opening our first Aid Station in October 2017, we have provided vital healthcare to over 46,000 patients. With the cyclone season now imminent, the MOAS team is working hard to prepare our Aid Stations for high winds and torrential rains, and to equip mobile medical teams that can ensure we continue reaching those in need.
Now we need your help to carry on with our life-saving work. Thanks to the generosity of a long-standing MOAS supporter, every cent given to our Emergency Appeal will be matched up to €34,020.
Help us do what we do best: provide a life-line to communities in crisis.

Today, March 22nd, is World Water Day! Access to clean drinking water and sanitation is a basic human right that, unfortunately, not everyone across the world has. Access to clean water can help people break out of the poverty cycle and build better lives for themselves, their families and their communities.
