T-Minus one week til this little pumpkin is set to arrive!
# 🤰🏼What’s Happening: Feeling really good for the most part! I have zero tolerance for the heat - but then again it’s SCORCHING and humid here and already in the 100s. That means early morning workouts and doggie walks for me until Lil Man makes his arrival. Yesterday was the first day ALL of pregnancy that I felt tired and super uncomfortable so I just listened to my body and took it easy and feel MUCH better today. Doc says I’m progressing toward a close-to-due-date birth! I’m still sitting at 24lb overall gain and likely will not gain more and have had zero swelling thankfully!
# 🏋🏼♀️Workouts: I’m still able to do most everything - as long as it’s under 90 degrees 😂 I’ve done morning crossfit all week and feel REALLY good in all overhead lifts, sleds, rowing and banded pull ups/chin ups. My hips are really starting to loosen and prep for birth so lunges are NOT feeling too great nor are front squats or thrusters. I’m still good on back squats and back rack thrusters as long as I don’t squat below parallel or to a bench. There are always modifications!
# 🥑 Food: Eggs, eggs, avocado and more eggs. I cannot get enough of my pastured eggs! Pretty sure I’ve had eggs (yup WITH the yolk) 2-3x a day of late. And we cannot keep avocado in the house between my hubby and I 😂 I’m also enjoying a lot of fish- grilled orange roughy + veggie pouches were on the menu this week and Grilled Grouper burgers yummmmmm! 🐟🐟 I’m also literally GUZZLING water throughout the day and night. I cannot get ENOUGH!
# 💁🏼♀️ Words of Wisdom: I am SO beyond thankful to all my Momma friends out there that have helped me to feel supported and excited about the birth experience. And I’m also so blessed to have my non-Mama friends who are supporting me throughout this process. I think sometimes there’s this division between ‘Moms and non-Moms’ and there doesn’t need to be. I waited 36 years to have a baby so have experienced life both as a 30-something childless woman and a soon-to-be-mama and BOTH are important experiences to me. I need ALL of my friends and will keep them close throughout ❤️
