Arrived in Bilbao yesterday morning to celebrate the World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Last night’s meal at Azurmendi (no. 38 on 2017’s list) began with a picnic in the garden. Today’s festivities included several talks with renowned chefs and a celebration for Mugaritz’s (no. 9) 20th anniversary. Looking forward to the next few days and this year’s rankings. Stay tuned!

for the goods: start with one siggis yogurt (i like coconut best), mix in chia seeds, some blubs, melted pb, natures path pumpkin seed and flax granola, and some coconut oil sautéed banana slices. i also added a few drops of honey on the bananas while cooking! yum. 🍌

My maternal grandmother is from Shandong, China; For us, food is an incredibly important way for my siblings and I to connect with my mother’s side of the family.
