The best part of an #experience
is the #journey
to get there. And never did I feel it was so true as today..... You see on this #roadtrip
I’d love nothing more than getting in the camper and driving, not knowing where we might end up, as long as we head in a certain direction.
However, with kids it’s a little more tricky. You need to consider their needs a little (lot) bit more than your own. Yet, today as we were driving my husband took us on an #impromptu
‘scenic tour’ as we bypassed the highway.
Oh my goodness, the road was hideous, we were rattling about all over the place, but my heart was so full! And in that moment of utter #spontaneous #happiness
, because we were #free
and heading off into the unknown, I suddenly recalled all my #spiritualrituals
I broke out my crystal for a waking meditation, I consciously raised my #vibration
, I practised my #gratitude
and as a result my soul soared!
It was the best 1.5hr detour ever... We made it to the campsite, got stuck back into #routine
of life, which I’m grateful for everyday because it’s a blessed one. Yet as I’m putting my eldest to sleep (rephrase, he’s already asleep) I’m able to transport myself back to that #moment
and replay it, remembering more of my practises and practising them!
Do you ever notice this, that the more time you spend doing the average or mundane, the less connected you are to the magical, and you forget your practises and capabilities?
I have found that I am so much more aware of this line between materialistic and magical and the affect it has on me, and that’s another reason I’m #consciouslycreating
the profession that I’m in - #Coaching
. It bridges the space between the two worlds and allows access to both sides, facilitating access to mundane and #magical
all at once, through #mindfulness
So having arrived at our campsite for the night, the best bit of the day is the spontaneous journey of getting here - that and the fab nighttime cuddles from being hauled up in a confined space as a family, well my idea of happiness anyway 😉
