Thank you Mama Earth for sustaining every moment of my earthly journey, for your endless inspiration, your beauty & wonder, wisdom & mystery, and the joy I feel near your wildness. I recognize that I am part of you and you me and that healing myself heals you, & protecting your health protects me. •
Human actions are tipping our planet out of it’s fine balance—people and animals all over the world stand at risk of losing their homes & livelihoods to the effects of climate change—including the atoll dwellers of the world’s oceans. We cannot wait for policy change, we must take responsibility for what we CAN do. For #climateactionnow
I challenge you to reduce or eliminate your farmed meat & dairy consumption—by doing so you can cut your carbon footprint in HALF or more! Eat for earth! It’s the most powerful choice you can make today to reduce your impact—choose local, buy from small organic farms, choose whole foods without packaging. It’s way easier than you might think, plus it’s healthier for our bodies, and of course better for the animals too!
That’s me, the “I” in #climateactionnow
that we spelled out in wood and coconuts on this remote atoll that may no longer be around for the next generations to camp out on like I got to do with Tahui, Tropicat, and @jianca_lazarus
, who took this awesome climate activism photo. Happy Earth Day, friends!! Check out @jianca_lazarus
