“hands of admiration”
6x3ft. latex on stretched burlap.
I painted this as a reminder of how we choose to grow and what we chose to grow. In its most simple interpretation, it would seem the flower is happiness— desired by so many and admired by those who don’t think they have it. In reality each hand is connected, and happiness (or whatever the flower represents to you) is achievable and most certainly in reach with the right mentality.
p.s. these burlap bags are from the Ivory Coast in Africa and carried cocoa beans to New York.
