Michael B. Jordan is set to produce the World War II drama Liberators via his Outlier Society Productions banner, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
The Liberators is based on a spec script written by Madison Turner. It tells the story of an entirely African American combat regiment in World War II whose heroism led to the desegregation of the armed forces.
Earlier this month, he had announced that he will adopt inclusion riders on all the films backed by his production house after this year's Best Actress Oscar winner Frances McDormand called to encourage diversity in Hollywood. In an Instagram post, he vowed to embrace the clauses, saying his production company, Outlier Society, will continue to do its bit to promote women and people of colour.
Michael is currently filming the sequel to the 2015 film Creed, directed by Ryan Coogler (who also helmed Black Panther). The actor will next be seen in the HBO film Fahrenheit 451 alongside Michael Shannon.
