Nina Kharey is a Calgary based designer and founder of the Canadian label NONIE. She and her label are now world famous thanks to the Duchess of Sussex. Meghan wore the NONIE sleeveless Trench in Pink to the Nelson Mandela Centenary Exhibition at London's Southbank Centre on Tuesday, July 17th. Nina started receiving texts and calls at 6:45am, Canada time, about Meghan wearing her dress/label. I'm loving this news because, guess what...she's a Desi girl...Brown girl, like me. 😁😊🤗🤩 Meghan's style is "classic, she’s very chic and she’s very well put together with just even one piece. That’s always been my thing with designing. I want whoever is wearing it to feel extremely confident, just by wearing even one of the pieces", said Ms. Kharey.
Since becoming part of the Royal Family, Meghan's "style has just been refined. I think that's natural, [and] that would happen with anyone that goes from being a normal person or an actress to royalty, you’re all of a sudden exposed to so many things, so many designers. Naturally, your style would become more fine-tuned. It’s nice to see that she knows what she likes and she knows what looks good on her", continued Nina.
These are the exact same things I have been saying since their royal engagement in November 2017 and up to now. Meghan likes clean and simple lines, monochromatic and modern style. Her style is evolving a bit more since she's part of the Royal Family.
